Chapter 50: The Surprise!!!

Yori's pov

With two of the host club members' birthday coming closer with each passing week, Kyoya-senpai brought it to everyone's attention one evening, while Haruhi and Emi had not come into the club room yet. They must have been held up in class, or something. "Who was born first?" Hikaru asked, curious as to who was a bit older between Haruhi and Emi. "According to my source, Haruhi was born four hours before Emi. So it seems Haruhi is the older twin. I believe Haruhi even said that she was a bit older than Emi because she was born first out of the two." Kyoya-senpai explained, "Huh.. So that explains why Haruhi is so much more protective of Emi. Although they are twins, Haruhi is older.. She feels a major responsibility to keep Emi out of harm's way." Kasanoda stated, holding his chin as he sat down on the nearby couch.

"I have an idea!!" Tamaki-senpai shouted, standing to his feet.

"What is it, Tamaki?" Kyoya-senpai asked, turning to look at the excited blonde.

"Let's throw our girls a surprise party!!" I looked over at him a bit shocked, but it quickly wiped away as Anna grew excited. I smiled, but it faded when I realized that Tamaki-senpai was going to wreck the whole thing. "Tamaki-senpai, that's a great idea!!" Anna shouted, "Those two deserve a party. They've done a lot for the club and besides, Emi and Haruhi have never really had a surprise party before." Anna said, with a large smile etched across her lips. "What?!!" Everyone shouted, shock written on all their faces. Even Mori-senpai was shocked about hearing this, I guess Haruhi didn't tell them about that. If she didn't tell them, that probably meant she didn't want it to be known that she and Emi never had a surprise party.

"You're telling me those girls never had a surprise birthday party?!!" Kasanoda shouted, he was more than shocked to say the least.

"Hehehe, whoops." Anna chuckled nervously, while I shook my head.

"Why not?" Honey-senpai asked, "Ranka is very busy.. Usually on their birthday, he'd try his best to make it home early so he can sing them happy birthday. He never had the time off to throw them a party. Emi was usually upset about not spending time with Ranka."

"Then you know what this calls for!" Tamaki-senpai shouted, raising a finger in the air.

"What, boss?" Hikaru asked, looking to Tamaki-senpai.

"We shall throw Haruhi and Emi a surprise party that they'll never forget! It's long overdue and they deserve the best surprise party ever!" Tamaki-senpai responded, he had this look of determination in his eyes which made Anna perk up. "Yori! You'll be in charge of the birthday cake and the sweets for the party. Kyoya-senpai, you make sure we have everything we need for food. Hikaru, Kaoru, you'll be in charge of making sure the music room is the best place to have a party. Honey-senpai, Mori-senpai, you two will be in charge of decorations." Tamaki-senpai said, pointing his finger at Mori-senpai and Honey-senpai. "Well, let's get to work. We have only four days to get this planned out. I want to make this the best birthday they have ever had!!"

"Hey, guys.. What are you doing?" Tamaki-senpai let out a yelp as Haruhi and Emi appeared, standing beside him. "We're not doing anything!! We were just talking about throwing a celebration for a small group of people in club for accomplishing a big goal." Tamaki-senpai stammered, making Haruhi and Emi look at him in confusion before smiling at him.

"Aww, Tamaki-senpai, that's so sweet." Emi smiled, making my breathe hitch in my throat as she looked over at him. "Yeah, that is very sweet for you. I think those people would really appreciate it. Can we help?" Haruhi asked, "NO!" Tamaki-senpai, Hikaru, Kaoru all shouted which made Emi pout and Haruhi to look at the three in confusion.

"No, you guys don't need to. All you need to do is attend and be there. Hehe, everything is going to be taken care of." Hikaru and Kaoru said, smiling brightly at the two, who looked to each other and smiled.
