Chapter 8: The Sun, The Sea and The Host Club

Emi's POV

This time the host club got to go to the beach, although Haruhi and I didn't get to swim we still managed to have fun. We had to take the girls with us and Honey-senpai and Mori-senpai looked really funny while doing their exercises with the girls. Currently Haruhi, Honey-senpai and I were hunting for shellfish that Kyoya-senpai's police force provided for us. I walked away from the two and found Tamaki-senpai, who was standing with the twins. I jumped onto Tamaki-senpai's back and overheard their conversation.

"Alright, whoever finds out Haruhi's and Emi's fear will be rewarded." The three of them looked really creepy, which made me giggle. Tamaki-senpai was now aware that I was on his back, so he started mumbling nervously. "Tamaki-senpai, calm down. I won't stop you, but nothing scares Haruhi and I." I laughed at his face, while Hikaru just gave off a weird smile. "Well, don't worry we will find out," Kaoru suddenly popped up beside me on my left, "What you're afraid of." I smiled nervously, before slapping him and Hikaru upside the head. Both boys groaned, "Don't try to scare me, you idiots." Kaoru rubbed his head and groaned. "Well, sorry it seems you don't like to be scared." Hikaru said, scratching the back of his head. I ran off and made it just in time before the door to the truck Haruhi and Honey-senpai were standing in, closed. I jumped into Haruhi's arm, giving off a warm smile to her. She smiled but I couldn't see it, since it was so dark. "Is that Emi?" Honey-senpai asked, "Yes. It's her Honey-senpai." Haruhi replied in a bored tone. After four minutes of being in the dark truck, Honey-senpai started to freak out.

"I can't take it anymore!!!" Honey-senpai yelled, as he had started crying. I immediately was out of Haruhi's arms and by his side, "Honey-senpai, what's wrong?" Haruhi came closer to him since she couldn't see him, but Honey-senpai started freaking out even more so they had to open the door. The next thing was really weird, Mori-senpai was holding a sharp harpoon trying to scare us which made me laugh and Haruhi face palm. "This is just pathetic." They also thought that we were scared of bugs which was hilarious. We were standing by some rocks talking to Hikaru and Kaoru when the whole group of girls in that area with us screamed loudly.

"CEN-TI-PEDE!!"

Haruhi picked up the centipede, chucking it over the rock like it was nothing. Haruhi and I were under the cliff, when the some of the girls waved to us. "Haruhi, Emi, come join us?" When we got to the top, there were two drunk guys messing with girls. "Hey, get your hands off them!! This is a private beach!" Haruhi threw the bucket of shellfish onto one of the boys' back, making him yell out in pain. The same guy grabbed Haruhi but I kicked him, so he let go of her and turned his attention on to me. The other boy grabbed me while I wasn't paying attention, which made Haruhi and the girls panic. "Haruhi, take the girls and get help!" I shouted but Haruhi didn't move which made me worry for her sake, "Please! Haruhi go!" She must have sensed the urgent tone in my voice, because she grabbed the two girls' hand and took off. The guy then said something and I was thrown off the cliff.

Meanwhile.....

I ran to Tamaki-senpai, calling out to him which got his attention on me. "What's wrong, Haruhi?" Both Tamaki-senpai and the twins asked. One of the girls had tears in her eyes, "Tamaki, you have to help. It's Emi." He looked confused and kyoya, Mori-senpai and Honey-senpai showed up. I started running and they followed after me still confused, but when we got there Emi had been thrown off. "Emi, can't swim!" Tamaki-senpai quickly jumped in after her. I was worried but the other hosts kept me calm, "Don't worry. Tamaki-senpai is an excellent swimmer. He'll be able to get Emi in no time." Kyoya-senpai reassured me, pushing up his glasses. After a while the boys were escorted off the premises and the girls went back to the hotel with an apology from Kyoya-senpai, we met up with Tamaki-senpai who was holding Emi in his arms. "Well, the doctor should be here any minute." Kyoya put his phone in his pocket, as I gave a sigh of relief.

"I'm fine, you guys." Emi said, putting her feet on the ground. 

Tamaki looked very angry, "What were you thinking? You could have gotten killed, you know you don't have Honey-senpai's martial arts skills!" Tamaki-senpai yelled, holding onto Emi's shoulders. I had never seen him this angry before, although I was a little upset by the fact that she made me leave her there with those boys. "Well, I had to do something those girls were in danger. What was I supposed to do just stand there and watch? I was there so I helped them. It doesn't matter if I'm a girl and those were boys! I learned martial arts when I was younger so yes I do know how to fight back. It doesn't matter that I'm a girl, I can still hold my own against two boys!" Emi argued, sounding just as frustrated as Tamaki-senpai did.

Tamaki let go of her shoulders and walked off, before coming to a stop as he slightly turned his head towards Emi. "Fine, you won't admit what you did wrong, then I won't talk to you until you do." He said, before walking off again. Emi looked angry and I saw the tears in her eyes, she walked away as the rest of us headed inside. "Do you think, she'll be okay?" Hikaru turned his head to me as I shook my head, "Only time will tell, but I don't think she is." I answered honestly. 

At dinner we had some crab, we had picked earlier while we were on the beach. Tamaki looked at Emi's pile of crab shells, "Don't you think you've had enough?" Emi smiled, grabbing another crab leg. "I thought you weren't talking to me, Tamaki-senpai?" She said as she snapped the crab leg a piece flew and hit Tamaki-senpai's chin. Tamaki turned solemn and stood up from his seat, "Kyoya, can you show me to my room please?" Kyoya-senpai pushed his glasses up and got up from the table. "Sure, well see you later." Kyoya said as they both walked off. I guess Emi felt bad because she stopped eating, "You know, you had us worried there." Kaoru spoke up, cutting the tension. "I'm sorry, that I worried you guys." She apologized, "We aren't the ones you should be apologizing too." Honey-senpai stated, so she got up and left the room leaving us to eat but I didn't feel to good. I guess it was because of all that crab I had eaten, my stomach wasn't used to rich foods like this. 

Later that night a thunderstorm started, so I ran to go find Emi.  Emi isn't all that great with thunderstorms, she gets panic attacks or sometimes just freezes up. I opened the door and saw that Tamaki-senpai was trying open the wardrobe.

"Tamaki-senpai what's wrong?" He stopped trying and turned his head to me, "Emi locked herself in the wardrobe, but I don't know why." A loud clap of thunder sounded through the room and I yelped. I heard Emi crying in the closet, so I tried to pull it open. "Emi, it's me open up. You know that song mom used to hum to us when we had trouble sleeping, just play that in your head." I spoke softly through the door. "I can't. I'm too scared, Haruhi." Emi responded. I decided to hum the tune myself in attempt to calm her down, I started pulling harder with tears in my eyes until Tamaki-senpai grabbed my hands. I looked up at him, he hugged me and then let go. "Emi, it's okay. I get it. You and haruhi had to deal with everything by yourselves but now you have us and the host club. We are here for you, you both won't be alone anymore. I will always be here for you and Haruhi." He pulled open the doors and she looked up at both of us. She launched herself at Tamaki-senpai, wrapping her arms tightly around him as sobs racked her tiny body. He found some ear plugs and a blind fold, and tied it around Emi's head while talking to her although she had the earplugs in. I think it actually helped Emi calm down a bit and Tamaki-senpai made sure that I was doing alright as well. Eventually the host club showed up and called him a pervert. Hikaru looked bored, but he also looked like he wanted to mess with Tamaki-senpai.

"Hey boss, are you trying to rape poor Emi?" Kaoru gave him this look of disgust, which made him freak out. "No, it's not what it looks like. I'm just trying to help her." He yelled at them. The next morning we were already in the limo and Emi was asleep on my lap. Tamaki started shouting and the driver pulled off, causing him to yell. I sighed, shaking my head. "Idiot." Was the only word I could use to describe him.
