Chapter 45: Emi and Kaoru's second Date!! Truths are revealed!!!

Emi's pov

The hosts were sitting around, we had a few extra minutes before club started so we finally had a chance to relax. Hikaru kept pestering Kaoru about something, which made the two constantly argue. Honey-senpai paid no mind to what the twins were arguing about, since he was sitting with Mori-senpai enjoying his sweets. Kyoya-senpai was typing away on his laptop, while Tamaki-senpai was busy chasing Haruhi around the room. I was sitting on the couch in costume, reading this book that I borrowed from the library.

I finally heard the twins stop arguing and looked up to see that Hikaru was now pushing Kaoru towards the couch area, where I was. I quirked an eyebrow at the two for their peculiar behavior, especially because Kaoru was freaking out while Hikaru was just smiling mischievously.

"Hey Emi, Kaoru has something important to ask you." Hikaru pushed his brother towards me, making me put my book down. I noticed that Kyoya-senpai had stopped typing on his computer and also that Tamaki-senpai had stopped chasing Haruhi around, whatever it was he wanted to ask seems to have caught everyone else's attention.

"Yeah, okay... Go ahead." I tore my eyes away from Tamaki-senpai, who was currently looking like he wanted to jump for joy.

"Emi...... I was wondering... If you would like to have a picnic at the beach with me this Saturday?" Kaoru shyly asked, I didn't see it coming but I wanted to properly answer him. "Just the two of us? No Hikaru?" I quirked an eyebrow at him, those two were always together so it was hard to believe it would just be us two. "Yeah, no Hikaru. I wanted to hang with just you. Is that okay?" He scratched the back of the head, I didn't notice how nervous he was. "Yeah, sure.. Why not? How about around 12?" I gave him a big smile, not noticing the light blush that appeared on his cheeks.

"Then it's settled then, Kaoru will pick you up around 12!" Hikaru suddenly popped up, scaring me a little and dragged his brother away. I stared at the two in amazement, watching as the two disappeared from my line of sight. Well that was odd.

Saturday morning....

"Emi, do you have any idea of what you're even wearing for your date on the beach?" Annabelle asked, she came over to help me pick out an outfit for the beach. "No, I have not. And it's not a date, Anna." I stated, looking over at her. "Yeah. It is date, you silly girl. What guy asks a girl out where it's just the two of them if it's not a date?" Anna poked my nose, before picking out something in my closet.

"It's just between two friends, Anna." I sighed, "Haruhi, I'm right aren't I?" Anna turned to Haruhi, who just walked through the door with a small bag in her hands. "Right about what?" I took notice of the bag in her hand, "What's with the bag, Haruhi? Did you buy something?" I asked, plopping down on my bed where Anna was sifting through clothes. "Kyoya-senpai gave it to me yesterday, he said you should wear this for your date." She pulled the outfit out of the bag, making my jaw drop. "Ahh, it's perfect. Come on, we need to get her dressed." Anna grabbed the outfit, shoving it towards me and then shoved me into the hallway. Before I could say anything, she shoved me into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. I didn't take long in the shower but I made sure that my hair had been washed, so that it would look nice for the beach. Once I got dressed, I headed out to the living room where Haruhi and Anna were sitting. "You're so precious in that outfit!! Come here!" Anna let out a loud squeal, before throwing her arms around me. Haruhi pried her off, handing me a bag full of stuff that I needed for the beach.

The two then escorted me outside, where we found Kaoru and Hikaru. "Hi, Kaoru.." I gave him a small smile, "Hey...Emi.... You look great in that dress." Kaoru began blushing lightly, making me giggle at him. It was so cute to see him blush like that, for a guy who is always so flirty with our guests at club he sure is shy. "Alright, everyone... Kaoru and Emi will be taking our Limo to the beach. We will be doing something else today. So in you two go." Hikaru quickly guided the two of us into the limo and we were sent off. "Your brother sure is something else.. But look." I spotted Tamaki-senpai and the other hosts standing with Haruhi, Tamaki-senpai was also yelling at Hikaru. "Oh lord, what has he done now to upset Tamaki-senpai like that?" I sighed, "Probably just made an inappropriate joke about Haruhi. We all know that idiot likes her." I laughed at Kaoru's comment, as the limo headed for the beach. The ride there wasn't awkward at all, which made it easy for us to have a nice conversation. When we finally made it to the beach, Kaoru took me to a spot that was reserved for us.

"I can't believe you reserved a space for us on this beach. It's always so hard to even find a spot that isn't too close to the ocean. It's always so packed here." I stared in amazement, looking out at our spot and smiled brightly at Kaoru. I looked around and spotted a picnic table, as well as a full set table with food and drinks. "Are we having a picnic?! I love picnics at the beach!! How did you know that?!" I turned to Kaoru, who gave me a small smile and rubbed the back of his neck. "Haruhi told me about it...Emi, I have something really important to tell you." I turned my full attention to him, making eye contact with him. "What is it Kaoru?" I tilted my head to the side, as I looked at him.

"Emi, I....I like you a lot. More than friends. Emi, I like you." The wind blew softly, my eyes slightly widened as I heard his statement. Kaoru Hitachiin likes me.
