3rd person's pov
It was an early Saturday morning, when Anna and Yori got a call from their mother who was heading to Ouran Academy to see how well they were doing. Anna couldn't believe that their mother was coming to visit since she was always caught up in her own little world of work, she barely came to visit, let alone call her kids. Even though they moved back to Karuizawa, her mother often left Japan to manage one of her businesses stationed in America. "I can't believe Mom is going to visit the school. She's never had time away from anything. Especially from things at the office." Yori stated, looking to Anna and his sister Vivian, they were all sitting at the breakfast table. "Well, your mother is just worried about how things are going at school. Especially since Anna just transferred to Ouran Academy. She just wants to check on you three." Hoshi, their father, spoke as he sat down at the table with them. "But why? It's not like she cares anyways." Anna scoffed, "Anna," Hoshi warned, not liking her tone when she spoke of her mother. He couldn't believe that Anna was being so harsh and neither could her siblings, but Anna was just too frustrated to care. "What? Am I wrong? Why is it that you are the only parent that even remotely cares about what happens to us?! Shouldn't she care more about us than her stupid company?!" Anna shot up from her seat, storming off before her father could say anything. "I knew she would blow up like that, she really doesn't like Mom." Hoshi spoke up, "Daddy, why does Anna hate Mommy so much?" Vivian asked, looking over to Hoshi, who let out a small but loud sigh as he set his cup down on the table. "Sweetheart, your sister doesn't hate your mother. She just... She's just angry that your mother doesn't prioritize you three as much as she should. It'll be okay, why don't you get ready for dance class?" Hoshi kissed the top of Vivian's head, as she happily hopped out of her seat and ran to her room. Hoshi let out a deep sigh as soon as Vivian was out of sight, which let Hoshi express what he really wanted to say to Yori. "How will I get Anna to get along with your mother, without having it all blow up in my face later on? Those two haven't had the best relationship since Anna entered middle school." Hoshi rested his head in his hands, as he tried to think of something. "Dad, it'll be okay. I think I have a way of getting Anna and Mom to see eye to eye." Yori spoke, sitting upright in his seat.
This got his father's attention, Hoshi turned his head towards his son. "What do you mean? How will you be able to do something like that?" He asked, "I have some very good friends who can help with this. They're the host club at Ouran Academy, which is where Anna and I spend most of our time after school." Yori explained, "I'm listening." Hoshi leaned in, looking to his son for some answers.
"How can they help?" He asked, "They can come up with a plan that can get those two to see eye to eye. They've gotten through plans with the other members, like the plan they made to get Kaoru and Emi to have their first date." Hoshi chuckled, shaking his head as Yori sighed. "They seriously set up a date for Emi? Wasn't she with the older boy named Mitsukuni Haninozuka?" He furrowed his eyebrows at his son, "Yeah, they recently broke things off. Well, Emi broke it off. I thought that I would have a chance with her, but.... Kaoru confessed before I could." Yori fiddled with his fingers, not wanting to look his Dad in the eyes.
"You still have feelings for her. I knew that would not change at all." Hoshi and Yori turned their heads, spotting Yori's mother, Tracy Hagiwara standing in the dining room opening. "You love her with all your heart, ever since the first year you met her in middle school. I knew that would not change, even as you got much older." Tracy said, she had been leaning against the wall, crossing her arms as she looked to her son and her husband.
"Mom, when did you-?" Yori asked, "Just now, aren't you going to give your mother a hug?" Tracy smiled, her blue eyes settling on her son. Yori gave her a small smile as he stood up, walked over to her and gave her a big hug. "Hi mom," Tracy held her son close, kissing his forehead as she looked to Hoshi. Hoshi stood to his feet, smiling as he greeted his wife. Just as Yori let go of his mother, Vivian and Anna came into the dining room with Vivian dressed in her dance clothes. The two were laughing and talking to each other, "Girls," The two looked to their father, before spotting their mother standing beside their father. "Mommy!!!!" Vivian rushed over, tackling her mother into a big hug which got Tracy to laugh.
"Hi baby girl," She kissed her in the top of the head, as she looked up at Anna.
"Sweetheart, I'm so glad to see you. I haven't heard from you in a while." She smiled, "Yeah, there's a reason for that." Anna muttered, "Anna, what does that mean?" Tracy asked, "It means, I don't even know why you came here. You haven't been here for at least nine months and now you want to come check on Yori, Viv and I. Because it's convenient for you? I don't understand why you seem to even care about us, when all you have done is just travel for work. You never stopped to even care for one second or even one month about us! All you do is work, work, work! And it's never about us, Mom!" Anna stormed off without another word, leaving the rest of her family in shock.
