Hikaru's pov

While I sat with Haruhi apologizing for leaving her alone, I got a phone call. Haruhi took the headphones off and I answered it. "Tamaki, what's wrong?" I asked, putting the phone on speaker. "It's Emi, she's somewhere out in the rain by herself. She has the same fear as Haruhi." He explained, and Haruhi nodded in agreement. "Wait, where did she go?" I asked him, hoping he knew where she had gone so it would be easier to find her. "Emi said she was going to find Haruhi after you ran off. She hasn't come back." Misuzu explained. "Oh no, come on! We gotta find her." Haruhi pulled me with her, as we headed out the door of the church.

Meanwhile......

Emi was in a small cottage crying and shaking, the thunder roared and the lightning flashed causing her to scream. The cottage was made of wood and it collapsed on top of her, so she got up. Thunder sounded again and Emi started shaking, both cold from the freezing rain and the fear of the thunderstorm. The rain was pouring down hard, she finally made it to a store after wandering into the town for 23 minutes.

"H- hello is anyone there?" Emi spoke out softly, as she closed the door behind her. The shop had been shut down for quite a few weeks and all of the shelves were stocked with towels and other things, so it was extremely quiet. With the silence that filled the store, it made Emi both somewhat nervous and slightly comforted. She walked towards the back of the store, finding a clean towel and put it over her head. All Emi wanted was to find Haruhi and instead, she ended up wandering around and getting lost. Kaoru and the others, who were back at Misuzu's place were all worried about if Haruhi and Hikaru would find Emi. Tamaki stared out of the window, as the rain hit it softly and sighed. He knew just afraid those two were of storms and Haruhi had told him, that Emi always had the worst of it when it came to panic attacks. Haruhi had also told Tamaki not to tell the other club members of Emi's panic attacks, knowing that they would overwhelm Emi with too much caution about certain things.

"I really hope they find her... That storm out there is just so horrible.. And Emi.. I fear she might not do to well on her own." Misuzu said, looking towards the window.

"Why is that?" Kyoya-senpai asked, pushing up his glasses as he looked to Misuzu. "Emi is afraid of thunder storms... Ever since she was very little. It was often Haruhi, who comforted her but the two of them were always on their own since their father worked until late." Misuzu explained, leaving the other hosts worried. "Hikaru, Haruhi.. I hope you guys find her." Kaoru thought, as he looked down at his hands.

Currently. Haruhi and Hikaru were running around in the rain. The two of them were asking the townspeople nearby if they had seen Emi. Haruhi would explain every little detail she could, to help the people know if they saw anyone look like her description. Most of the time they came up empty, until one shop owner pointed them to the direction he had seen Emi run off in. The two thanked the shop owner profusely, before running off in that direction they had been pointed towards. They came across the quaint little shop that Emi had walked into earlier, so they decided to check inside to see if she was in there. Haruhi called out softly, wandering the isles of the store. Hikaru stuck closely to Haruhi, knowing that deep down Haruhi was also afraid of the storm. He had heard from Tamaki that the two were usually together and were afraid of storms, as big as the one going on since they had to deal with it by themselves as young kids. The thunder clashed loudly and the rain got heavier, causing Emi to let out a small yelp. The two follow the sound of the yelp, finding Emi curled in a ball in the corner of the store. "Emi?" Hikaru said softly, bending down in front. She lifted her face relieved to see him, launching herself on him. She sobbed into his chest, while Haruhi wrapped a blanket around Emi's small figure and Hikaru picked her up. She snuggled into his shirt, still shaking as more thunder sounded so Haruhi took off the headphones and put them on Emi. They knew Emi just needed to be surrounded by familiar faces, so that she could feel much better.

The Next Day.......

Arai delivers a fresh watermelon for everyone to share, which made me happy. Hikaru approaches Arai and although he doesn't apologize, Arai offers him the melon which he accepts in a non-verbal peace exchange. From the overhanging balcony, Kyoya and Kaoru watch, and Kyoya asks if Kaoru had considered that his strategy to expand Hikaru's world might have led to romance. Kaoru says it's too soon for that, because Hikaru is too much of a dummy about his feelings. Kyoya responds that it's a good thing because the club is full of them.
