Chapter 49: Juyon and Denkei Vs. Izolly Part 1!

Juyon glances at Denkei with a look of concern on his face. "From what I can gauge, he will be a tough opponent. Do you have any idea how we can defeat him? You and I charging in a defeating him with just sheer force will not cut it."

Denkei reaches into his robes and retrieves a small vial of black liquid. He dips his finger into the vial and withdraws it, then runs his finger up and down the length of his mage stick. "I need you to buy me some time. If we can do that long enough, we can banish him."

Juyon's eyes wander over to Izolly, staring at them with a powerful gaze. "I can distract him for some time. However, I'm unsure of how long I can do it."

"I should only require eight minutes to set up the spell. Can you do that for that long?"

"Yes, I can," Juyon prepares for battle by summoning Hard Terrain JōKai on both fists and charges toward Izolly.

Izolly smirks invitingly, his eyes glinting mischievously as he forms a defensive stance. "Come on, brat! Give it all you got!"

Juyon uses JōKai Amplification to enhance the strength of his right hook and aims it at Izolly. "Bellowing Bison!"

Izolly summons Spark JōKai onto his Bat, and they clash. The resulting electrical impact obliterates the rocky material of Juyon's Hard Terrain JōKai. Juyon's eyes crinkle in disappointment, and he heaves. "Damn, his JōKai is my weakness."

Izolly swings his bat, connecting with Juyon's midsection with a loud thud. "Spark Bat: Shock Swing!" Juyon collides with the wall with significant impact because of the force of the attack.

Izolly sprints towards Juyon grabs him from the wall, and slams him onto the ground. He attacks Juyon with a series of blows with his bat. While preparing for the banishment spell, Denkei's conscience weighs on him as he witnesses Juyon's merciless thrashing from Izolly. "I can't let him take all this punishment. I need to give him a hand."

Denkei pulls out a tiny blue stone figurine and brings it to his mouth. "I call upon the forces of the universe to give me the power of miracles! Magic Spell Alchemy: Breath of Life."

The statue looms over Denkei, now five meters tall, its unblinking gaze fixed upon him. "What do you require of me, summoner?"

Denkei signals towards Izolly, showing him as the subject of discussion. "Attack him, but not the person he's fighting. He's an ally."

"Understood," With a sudden burst of speed, the statue dashes towards Izolly, swinging his blue stone sword and leaving a painful gash on his back. Izolly crumples to the ground, the pain from the slash causing him to yelp in agony. He glances at the statue, snarling at it through gritted teeth. "Damn blind sider!"

Izolly leaps into the air, his bat making a whooshing sound as he slams it downward toward the live statue. "Spark Bat: Arc Pummel!" The immense force behind the pulverizing swing pins the statue to the ground.

Juyon channels JōKai Amplification through his body, and his fists become a blur of motion. "Mandruk Barrage!" Juyon lands a flurry of punches on Izolly's back, sending him hurtling toward the ground. The impact was so strong that it leaves a gaping hole in the arena floor.

Izolly lets out a playful chuckle and shoots Juyon a sly grin. "That was a good hit, brat, but don't think you'll get another hit like that on me!"

Izolly summons Spark JōKai, gripping his bat as he swings it toward Juyon. Juyon concentrates his energy and summons Hard Terrain JōKai onto his fists, his forearms primed in a defensive stance. Juyon channels JōKai Amplification to strengthen his defense, enveloping his body in a protective shield. "Horns of Taurus!"

Juyon and Izolly exchange a clash, and his Hard Terrain JōKai shatters again, leaving him defenseless. Izolly swings his bat and strikes Juyon in the face. "Spark Bat: Shock Swing!" Juyon's momentum propels him across the floor until he collides with the wall, causing a cascade of rubble to rain down upon him.

Izolly throws his head back and cackles while sitting on the ground. "It seems I overestimated you, Golem! You were a lot easier than I thought you would be!"

All of a sudden, Izolly is caught off guard by a red and gold rug covering his face and blocking his view. With each flail of his hand around his face, Izolly tries to remove the rug that's suffocating him. "It's not smart to turn your back on your opponent in battle," said Denkei. Denkei makes a sweeping gesture toward the statue, prompting it to charge toward Izolly.

With a sudden burst of movement, the statue lunges towards Izolly and plunges its blade into his side. A sharp, piercing screech of agony escapes Izolly's lips. He rips the rug off his face and takes menacing steps towards the statue as Spark JōKai is summoned on his bat, and JōKai Amplification surrounds his body. Izolly charges forward and strikes the statue with his bat, reducing it to rubble. "Spark Bat: Almighty Ashen Crush!"

Izolly's footsteps grow louder as he walks toward Denkei, his fierce, mischievous grin visible from a distance. "Now it's your turn!"

Juyon, with his body coated in JōKai Amplification, chases after Izolly and delivers a powerful blow using Hard Terrain JōKai. "Bellowing Bison!" Izolly lands with a thud inside a large black circle, and Juyon's eyes dart toward Denkei. "Denkei, do the spell now!"

"I call upon the forces of the hands of punishment to cast judgment on the enemy that stands before me. Banish them to a pit of no return! Magic Spell Binding: "Pit of Banishment!"

The colossal black hands clutch Izolly and attempt to plunge him into a hollow space beneath. As he's getting dragged down, Izolly's sneer only intensifies. "You brats almost defeated me!"

"What does he mean almost defeated?? We ban-" Denkei's eyes widen in fear as he lays them upon a black circle resting on Izolly's shoulder. "No way! He has a reverse banishment circle!"

"Overlord warned us about a mage using a banishment spell! So, he found a wizard to put these on us! Now you're both screwed!" Izolly smacks the circle on his hand, negating the banishment spell. Izolly approaches Juyon and Denkei with a menacing stare in his eyes. Juyon's gaze flicks over to Denkei; concern etched on his face. "Denkei, this isn't good."

With a frustrated growl, Denkei clenches his fists and bares his teeth, knowing that his carelessness has caused this mistake. "I should have checked him more carefully before I performed the spell! This is my fault!"

Izolly sprints toward Juyon and Denkei and channels a significant amount of Spark JōKai into his bat, unleashing a powerful swing toward them. "Spark Bat Special Attack: Almighty Pulverizing Death Swing!"

With a swift swing of his bat, Izolly strikes Juyon and Denkei on the head, sending them crashing through the brick walls and into unconsciousness. Izolly approaches Juyon and Denkei with a daunting grin, his eyes scanning over them. "I win.... brats..."
