Kristel's body dropped on the floor as soon as she finished her 30 sets of Mountain Climbing. It has been an hour and a half since she started working out and her body fully surrendered after those excessive exercises. She look at the calendar in her study table, she still had days to get prepared before that special day. She was about to start another exercise again when the doorbell rang. Walang tao sa pamamahay nila maliban sa kaniya kaya wala siyang choice kundi ang pag buksan ang kung sinuman ang nag-iingay sa labas. Kaagad namang nalukot ang mukha niya ng tumambad ang isang estranghero, gwapo ito pero wala siya sa mood para i-compliment ang binata. He was wearing a plain black muscle shirt and denim pants, just like how a water delivery man wears, so she immediately spoke without even letting the man greet.

"Sorry, Kuya pero may tubig pa kami. Bumalik ka na lang bukas," ma-attitude niyang saad.

Tumaas naman ang kilay ng lalaki. Nagtanong pa nga ulit ito sa kaniya kaya mas lalo siyang nainis. Ayaw pa naman niyang maistorbo siya kapag nage-exercise. Kristel rolled her eyes.

"Bingi ka ba? Ang sabi ko bumalik ka na lang bukas kasi may tubig pa kami. Tumatawag naman kami kapag need na namin ng water supply—"

"I don't deliver water, Ma'am." The man corrected her.

Wow, englishero. "If there's a problem about the other bills, Kuya ko na lang tawagan mo!"

"I'm not here for that—"

Kristel tsked then face the man with her hands on her waist. "Nagbayad na si Kuya Hope kahapon and kung hindi ka taga-singil ng kuryente baka taga-PLDT ka pero bayad na rin kami do'n. So now, go back to your company and stop bothering me! Shoo!"

"Who are you talking to?"

Kristel turn her back to face her brother Hope na halatang kagigising lang. Nandito pa pala ang kapatid niya. She rolled her eyes.

"Just no one," she uttered.

"Yow." The man greeted my brother.

"Hey bro, long time no see! Come in, come in, sana ay tinawagan mo ako para nasundo kita. Kanina ka pa ba rito?" Aniya Hope sa lalaking tinarayan ni Kristel kani-kanina lamang.

"Not really, your sister welcomed me great," the man said smirking at Kristel who's now flabbergasted.

"You know him?" She asked his brother and when Hope nodded and introduced the man, Kristel swore that her jaw dropped down in the depths of hell.

"He was my childhood friend, the one I'm telling you about last night. He's going to live with us starting today. I already asked Mom's permission and she said it's okay." Hope motioned his hands at her. "Teo, this is Kristel, my step-sister. Krissy, this is Teo, my childhood friend."

The man smiled at her then gently bowed his head.

"Nice meeting you, Miss." The man muttered as if she did not shoo him away like a stray dog earlier. "I hope we can get along together."

All she wanted now was for the ground to open and eat her up because of so much embarrassment! Kristel chuckled in humiliation as her head slowly bowed to greet the man back.

"N-Nice meeting y-you too." She bit her lips. "Y-You know, about e-earlier—"

"It's okay, it's my fault hindi agad ako nakapagpakilala."

Kristel smiled awkwardly. She nodded her head before apologizing again, leaving Hope, her step-brother, confused.

"Why? What happened earlier?" Hope asked but the two just laughed in awkwardness. He puffed his breath. "You two will surely click, you're both weird."
