Chapter 7

Hindi mapuknat ang ngiti sa labi ng binata habang tulak-tulak nito ang cart na may lamang groceries. He was grinning from ear to ear as he followed Kristel who's walking ahead of him.

Kristel was about to go back to Al Saude Dormitory when she suddenly thought of something and it had to do with why she invited the Professor to buy groceries with her. Her intention was to buy him a 'thank you' gift because the man did take good care of her—yet Teo was too malicious to think of that.

He kept on grinning like he had won a lottery. Unbeknownst to the woman's knowledge, Teo had been imagining this as a date and not just any normal grocery. And his imaginations were fed even more when a Saleslady praised them for being a good looking couple.

"Bagay na bagay ho kayo, Sir!" Masigla pang ani ng babae.

"You think so?" Teo asked, fighting the urge not to smile in enthusiasm. "Unfortunately, we're not together."

The Saleslady gasped. "Po? 'Di nga? You two really look good together. Akala ko nga po mag-asawa kayo."

Kristel frowned when she felt Teo was no longer behind her. She looked back to find the man only to see him flirting with a Saleslady. Kristel suddenly felt irritated. Ano bang iniisip niya para masabing iba sa mga lalaking nakilala niya ang Professor? The Professor has great physique and he's truly a handsome man, so it was really not a shock if she saw him flirting with one or two.

Her face was unpainted as she walked near them. She cleared her throat to let her presence known.

Kaagad namang nagbaba ng tingin ang Saleslady nang magtagpo ang mga mata nila. Kristel was frowning profusely at the frozen man who stopped working after getting mistaken as Kristel's husband.

Mag-asawa? Hmm, that's not a bad thing but she's too young for me. And Hope will really kill me if he happens to know what I'm thinking.

Teo was smiling when he faced Kristel who was still frowning. "Shall we?" Then he reached for Kristel's hand and pulled her away from the Toiletries Station.

Tahimik namang nagpatianod ang dalaga. She was still frowning as they reached the Stuff Toy Station.

Teodomero—who was oblivious to Kristel's annoyance—was still smiling while holding Kristel's hand as his other hand was holding their cart. And Kristel who was near snapping was getting more and more annoyed as she kept on seeing the Professor smiling.

"You look really happy talking with that Saleslady. You should've just stayed there and taken your time getting to know each other." Kristel uttered with a nasal sardonic tone and because the man had stopped working after hearing the Saleslady's commentary he didn't notice Kristel's indifference tone.

"Yeah! She even lend a hand to help me but have to shot her down—"

"Oh why?!" Kunwari ay madramang tanong ni Kristel. "Sorry ha, mukhang nakaistorbo pa ako sa inyo. Balikan mo na lang siya, kawawa naman."

Marahas nitong inagaw ang cart mula sa Propresor pagkatapos ay nagdadabog na umalis sa Stuff Toy Station. She walked around with a grumpy face. It was a mistake to invite the man here!

Nagtatagis ang mga bagang ng dalaga nang marating niya ang Food Station kung saan may mga taste test stalls na nakakalat. Annoyed, she walked into one of the stalls then tried their Lemon Peppered Fried Chicken sample. She was so mad at the fact that Teo was getting a lot of attention in their supposed grocery shopping that she didn't monitor her food intake. If the Saleslady didn't catch her attention, Kristel would have finished all the samples. Realizing how many samples she had eaten, Kristel found herself running to the restroom to throw everything up.
