Hindi na bago ang pagiging clingy niya pagdating sa dalaga and it has been years since they've done such affection, kaya normal na reaksyon lang mula sa dalaga ang itulak siya nito palayo.
But Teodomero was not offended, rather he felt relieved.
He cleared his throat then acted cool.
"Hangga't hindi ligtas ang bumiyahe, hindi kita papayagang umuwi. Make yourself at home, kung may kailangan ka sabihin mo lang sa'kin—"
"Stay away from me," putol ng dalaga sa sinasabi niya.
Teodomero's brows arc.
"That was a bold request from you, Chipmunk." He stepped closer towards the woman, leaned over near her ear then seductively whispered in a gruffly tone. "Fair warning, Ms. Ruiz, I'm not able to behave well this time. Best of luck to you."
He has a mischievous line on his lips. But as soon as he closed the door, his knees dropped on the floor.
He aggressively rubbed his palms on his face.
What on earth did I just do? He could only pray to God that he didn't scare his Chipmunk.
"Was I too aggressive? Should I get my words back?"
He hissed at his own silliness. Revoking his words would only mean that he's just playing around. He has been waiting for this to come and since God bestowed this chance—he must seize the moment.
"Good morning. How's your sleep?"
His voice was as sweet as the hot cocoa he made for his precious guest, unfortunately his guest was unfazed.
He has a tray full of food in his hands and he only has an apron to cover his upper body.
"Mind if I enter?" He asked even though he was the owner of the house.
The woman just shrugged her shoulders but it was enough to flutter the Professor's heart. Teodomero pulled the swivel chair from the room's personal office since Kristel was sitting at the single sofa near the center table where their food was served.
Kristel was looking at him with a frown and he immediately explained himself.
"It's only natural for the owner of the house to join his guest for some breakfast—"
"In a bedroom?"
His mouth opened but his words betrayed him. He bit his lower lip then quickly thought of an excuse but his brain was not cooperating well.
"Uso naman 'to. Breakfast in bed is a trend—"
"For couples," muling pagputol ng dalaga sa sasabihin niya.
Kaagad na itinikom ng binata ang bibig upang pigilan ang nagbabadyang ngiti sa kaniyang labi. He thought she was being advanced, but the woman roasted him with her next words.
"But we're not a couple, Professor." Kristel smiled at him then proceeded to eat her breakfast.
Teodomero chuckled. He doesn't want to admit it but he enjoys getting roasted. The more he gets roasted, the more he feels thrilled and challenged.
Simula nang maliwanagan siya sa nararamdaman para sa dalaga, he accepted the fact that everything she do and say has become his sole weaknesses.
He shook his head then joined the woman in breakfast with a smile on his lips.
