"We'll figure out some sort of transportation eventually," Lily said, planting a gentle kiss on the top of my head. "But for now, Dom will be your ride."

I nodded quietly, feeling a twinge of guilt for not being more appreciative. Back at home, my father used to drive me to and from work, even though it was just a part-time job. They had planned to get me my own car, but things changed when they discovered my search history and found out about my attraction to the same sex. As older individuals, they weren't exactly thrilled. They tolerated me for another six months until graduation, and then they made it clear that I had to leave. At least they gave me some advance notice.

"Yup, I'll take care of you," Dom nodded.

I didn't like his choice of words, as if he saw himself as my savior. But I tried to look grateful. "Thanks," I said, and he seemed pleased.

As we stepped into the garage, my eyes landed on his car for the first time. It was a sight to behold. A sleek, black Tesla Model S, emanating an aura of elegance and power. I couldn't help but hesitate, almost questioning if the stunning vehicle truly belonged to Dominic. But then, he slid into the driver's seat, confirming it was. The way he owned it with such confidence and grace, it was a perfect match for the man. I couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration and appreciation for the sheer beauty of the car. I joined him in the passenger seat, my eyes scanning the lovely interior.

"Like it?" He smirked at my expression.

"It's nice." I shrugged. I did like it. But Dominic seemed arrogant enough, I didn't want him too satisfied by my wonderment at all things he owned.

"Do you like your room?" He asked, pulling out of the garage.

"Yes, it's nice." I said.

"I wanted to give you my office but Lily said you wouldn't mind the smaller room."

"Really? It's bigger than the room I had at my parents." I said, surprised.

"Oh!" He said as if he didn't consider that was a possibility.

I stared out the car window as we drove. The gym was a good 30 minutes from the house so unfortunately I was trapped with Lily's husband for a whole half hour.

"What time am I picking you up?" He asked after awhile.

"10 if you can."

"Woah, that's late!" He said but smiled to indicate it wasn't really an issue.

"I can just get an Uber on the way back." I said but he shook his head, dismissing the idea.

"Don't worry about it. I usually stay up until one or two."

I nodded at the useless information. When did this guy even work? I usually worked 4pm-10pm, and Dom seemed willing to drive me both ways.

"Does your coworker friend live near us?" He asked.

"Sorta. He's about 25 minutes away." I said and wondered if Dom would ever agree to letting me have a friend over. Ryan would flip when he saw how nice the house was. "Would it be okay to have him over sometime?"

"Of course!" He smiled. "Mi casa es tu casa."

I gave a small nod of appreciation, relieved that he was open to the idea. It would be great to have Ryan over and show him around.

After a few moments Dom spoke up, glancing at me with a new curiosity. "Got any girlfriends you're leaving behind by moving into my house?" He asked.

I shook my head. Definitely no girlfriends, no boyfriends. I never really had a real romantic relationship of any sort.
