Pansy glares at me, her dark eyes filled with anger and malice. "Listen, you mangy prune."
"I don't want you near Draco, got it? I don't trust a Gryffindor nor a girl like you, and I wouldn't want to ever see you again," she hissed.
"He doesn't want you near him too."

What a pathetic lying snake!
Draco and I had a bet going on, but no one else knew about it. I couldn't let Pansy find out, it would only complicate things, so it wouldn't be the wisest choice.

I broke away from her grip and stepped closer to her, trying to stay calm and collected. "I don't know what you're babbling about, Pansy," I said, keeping my cool. "You need to get out of my way."

My eyes slowly turned a light yellow, with my pupils shaped like diamonds from the fierce rage and tense air I was in. I was taken aback by the sudden change, surprised by the side of the Lion's spirit that was emerging within me.

She growls at me and stomps away. Are all Slytherins so frustrating like this? This bet seems to be getting a lot of nerve and attention. That's why I specifically said to keep it a secret.

But just as quickly as it had come, my eyes return to their normal color and shape.

I couldn't help but wonder if all Slytherins were as frustrating and difficult as Pansy. This bet was already causing enough stress and attention, I didn't need any more complications.

That's why I had specifically told Draco to keep our bet a secret. I didn't want anyone else getting involved and causing unnecessary drama.

I finally reached the end of the corridor and stepped out into the fresh air. I made a mental note to stay away from Pansy. She was clearly someone I couldn't trust, especially when it came to the bet I am in till the end of Hogwarts year. I don't know where the others went other than Hermione, so I just strolled throughout the castle carrying my books, taking my time and solitude from this week's insane ride. Wish Pix was here, even when I wanted time alone, I loved having her around at all times.

I stopped for a moment when I heard the sound of an eagle. I tilted my head, trying to locate where the sound was coming from. I could see the vast expanse of the Forbidden Forest in front of me, but no sign of what I just heard. Curious, I decided to investigate further. I stepped into the open archways, my eyes scanning the area for any movement.

As I turned, my gaze fell upon the view of Hagrid's hut. Buckbeak, the hippogriff, was in the pumpkin patch, happily munching on some pumpkins that Hagrid was feeding him. It had been a while since I had been around animals. Back at home, I used to see them every morning, but now that I was away at Hogwarts, I only saw them occasionally during Care of Magical Creatures class.

I watched the gentle interaction between Hagrid and Buckbeak, and a wave of homesickness washed over me. I missed the simplicity and comfort of my home, where I could be surrounded by nature and animals. But I quickly pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the present.

I carefully put my books somewhere where I can leave them without them getting lost. When I thought about flying instead of walking, it would save time for me, especially with Buckbeak and Hagrid. I put my leg first on the line of the Archways, trying to lift the other one.

"Don't you think it's too early for you-" I paused midway of putting my leg on first, and I realized it was Fred and George.

"You have so much in your life ahead of you." I blinked twice, trying to understand what they meant when I noticed I was high up from the ground.

"Oh no no!! It is certainly not what it looks like," I replied, trying to hide my embarrassment, fixing my posture and skirt.

"And this is where I thought you'd tell me everything," he put on a serious face.

I looked down, feeling flushed until I realized...

"Hang on--- you two are guilt-tripping me!!"

They both laughed. How did I fall for that again? I thought they were disappointed.

I couldn't help but laugh at their antics. "Very funny."

"Took you long enough," George said, still laughing at my naivety. I'm terrible at jokes; I often take time to realize one.

"Care telling us why you were trying to jump off?"

"I wanted to visit Hagrid and his Hippogriff, to take my mind off things. I am too mentally worn out, so I thought of flying there instead to enjoy the view from up high," I explained.

"Well then, it is your lucky day, Miss Luminhood," George declared, his eyes filled with excitement. I stood there, confused by both of them. Fred stepped behind me, and George stood in front. They were the notorious Weasley twins, always up to something. But I couldn't help but wonder what they had in store for me this time. Fred whispered to George, keeping me curious and standing.

"We'll take you there ourselves," George said.

"Huh, what are you two-" Without another word, Fred lifted me up from my waist and onto George's back for a piggyback ride.

"Off we go!!!" Before I could even realize what was happening, we were running through the hallways of Hogwarts, me holding on tight so I wouldn't fall off backwards. The halls echoed with the fun screams and laughter of all three of us. I leaned my head next to his to savor the moment. Several people looked at us, either smiling or whispering to each other about us getting wild in the halls.

"FASTER, GEORGE, FASTER!" I exclaimed, letting the adrenaline pump through my veins.

"BUT I CAN'T GO ANY FASTER!" George yelled back, trying to keep his balance.

"SURE YOU CAN," Fred told him.

While these two were distracted by their conversation, they didn't notice Professor McGonagall appearing from the corner of another hallway. I screamed at George.

"GEORGE, LOOK OUT!" But because of my added weight, he was too slow to stop. This is where I thought the fun started, but it would end tragically when crashing towards Professor McGonagall.
