The sun barely peeking through the trees, signaling the start of a new day. Today, I woke up earlier than usual because I had planned to visit the forest alone. I wanted to discover things for myself and wander without any distractions. As I got ready, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and adventure coursing through my veins.

I grabbed my bag and set off towards the forest. The trees engulfed me as I made my way deeper into the unknown. I could hear the birds chirping and the sound of leaves rustling under my feet. It was peaceful and serene, just the way I liked it.

But suddenly, a voice called out my name, breaking the stillness of the forest. 'Y/n,' it echoed. I turned around, confused. Who could have followed me here?

'Y/n,' the voice called again. This time, it sounded closer. I felt a touch behind me and gasped. I quickly took out my wand, ready to defend myself.

But as I turned around, my eyes caught sight of an elegant, graceful figure in the far end of the forest. 'Who's there? Show yourself,' I demanded, my wand pointed in their direction.

'Y/n, my precious creature,' the figure said, their voice filled with warmth and familiarity.

I took a step closer, my heart racing. 'M-mother?' I gasped, tears already flooding my eyes. 'Is it really you?'

'Yes, my dear,' my mother replied, a small smile on her face. 'I've missed you so dearly.'

'How are you here? I thought you were dead all this time,' I asked, still in shock.

I dropped the books I had in my hands and ran towards her as fast as I could. I hugged her tight, never wanting to let go. 'Why did you abandon me if you were alive this whole time?' I sobbed.

'To keep you safe,' my mother replied, her voice filled with sadness.

'Safe? Safe from what?' I asked, confused.

But as she brushed my back, I suddenly felt a soft clutch and a scratch. I flinched and broke the hug, my eyes constricted with fear. It wasn't my mother's touch, it was something else, something unfamiliar.

I stepped back in horror, my mind unable to process what was happening. And then, suddenly, I was pushed to the ground with such force that it knocked me out.

I jolted awake, my heart pounding in my chest. It was just a nightmare, I realized I was back in my room, safe and sound.

'Y/n, you're fine. It was just a nightmare,' a familiar voice said, calming me down.
