The Great Hall was alive with the spirit of Christmas. Sparkling lights adorned every corner, Christmas trees towered over the room, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of pine and cinnamon. It was a sight to behold, and I couldn't believe I had the chance to be here without the usual hustle and bustle of students.

As a bookish introvert, the Great Hall was not usually my go-to spot. But with only one week left until Christmas, most students had gone home for the holidays, leaving the grand hall almost deserted. And I, being the bookworm that I am, couldn't resist the opportunity to bask in the tranquility and read to my heart's content.

I settled into a cozy corner with my favorite novel, relishing in the quiet peace that surrounded me. The soft glow of the Christmas lights added a magical touch to the already enchanting atmosphere, and it made me smile to myself as I delved into reading.

Time seemed to fly by as I lost myself in the pages. But soon, the sound of footsteps and chatter pulled me back to reality. The students had started to flood in, their voices echoing through the Great Hall. My quiet time was over, but I couldn't be too upset. After all, the holidays were a time for celebration and being surrounded by friends.

As I packed up my book and prepared to leave, it may have been short-lived, but I guess I can read somewhere else with my free time.

As I made my way out to the corridors, everyone was in high spirits, eagerly discussing their plans for Christmas break. And although I didn't have much planned for today, I knew I would still have time for myself while being here in school for the holidays.

I walked down the corridor, and I saw Fred and George outside playing with snow, their laughter echoing through the empty halls, throwing snowballs at each other. I smiled at their infectious energy and was about to join in the fun. But then I caught a glimpse of a group of Slytherins huddled together. I remembered that I hadn't brought myself to buy Draco anything for Christmas when things were complicated between us. But now, even when it's the holidays, he wasn't there among them, so I tried to sneak away unnoticed. But then I heard someone call out my name.

I turned to see Pansy looking at me with a sly grin and Blaise with her . I haven't seen her since the incident in Quidditch and her fight with Draco.

'Looking for someone, Luminhood?' she sneered, knowing very well who I had been looking at.

I didn't want to engage with her, so I simply replied, 'No, I was just passing by.' I attempted to move past her, but she blocked my path. Pansy raised an eyebrow, not buying my excuse. 'Is that so? Or were you hoping to catch a glimpse of Draco?'

I bit my lip, feeling a blush creep up my neck about him, but I also couldn't reveal them to Pansy, who kinda was. She would use it against me in a heartbeat.
'Come on, a friend of Draco's is a friend of mine,' she continued, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

I didn't show no emotion because I clearly dislike her 'I'm no one's friend, now let me pass,' I said firmly.

Before I could come up with a response, Pansy's eyes narrowed and a smirk formed on her lips. 'You know, Draco's family called us to the manor, I mean when he was away of course. I wonder why he didn't mention it to you.'

My heart dropped at her words. I had no idea Draco's family had summoned Pansy's family to their manor. I thought for a moment if it was all because of me, if his parents had found out about our friendship and were trying to keep us apart.
