Rolf and I sat on the beach shores looking at the sunrise early in the morning. The gentle cold waves that lapped at our feet and the salty scent of the ocean. We had come here many times before every morning.
'This is the Hogwarts map,' Rolf said, unfurling a weathered piece of parchment .He traced his finger on the intricate lines of the map, landing on a specific spot of lake water 'You see the Black Lake?'
'Yes,' I replied, smiling at the memories flooding my mind about the black lake. 'I used to go there all the time with an old friend"
'Good,' Rolf grinned. 'So did you know if you swim deeper, you'll find the Slytherin dormitories?'
'Ha! I thought they had an aquarium to themselves when I saw it,' I gasped then chuckled,
His eyes widened in disbelief. 'You've been in their dorms?'
'Couple of times, four or five?' I shrugged nonchalantly.
'You are full of surprises! But HOW?' He leaned a little closer, intrigued.
I hesitated just a moment for dramatic effect before continuing. 'They threw a party secretly after Krum's win... and when I was stuck being a cat as Draco's pet, unaware!' I couldn't help but laugh at the memory. 'That accounts for the rest of the times I've been in there.'
'Well, did you know there was a giant serpent there?' he teased, raising an eyebrow.
'I know there's merpeople and grindylows! Harry almost got eaten by one during his second task for taking the gillyweed,'
'That's brilliant! For him to transform into a saltwater creature is... why he almost got eaten!' Rolf exclaimed astonishingly then throws a horrific expression for Harry nearly getting eaten.
'Bingo,' I winked
then Newt approached us, cutting through our reverie. 'Y/n! Rolf!' Newt walked in with his staff . He appeared both eager and slightly annoyed.
'It's time for us to head back to our study, Y/n,'
I sighed, glancing at Rolf, whose expression mirrored mine as well . 'We'll do this another time,' I said softly.
'We do this most of the time,' Rolf added with a dramatic roll of his eyes.
