Chapter: Something About Marigold and Valentine
Prince Marigold Ashton loudly patrolled the area outside of Gerbera, the only area in the whole three Kingdoms he is allowed to use his warrior training as a guard.
"Another summer of guarding another dinky little town with nothing surrounding it but forests." he sighed out loud interrupting the peaceful sound of chattering birds and trees rustling in the soft breeze.
"I offered to sneak you on a hunting trip, Prince Marigold." Marigold blinked at the crimson haired woman hiding in the treetops.
"Valentine." he moved to catch her as she lowered herself to the ground, "What are you doing here?" he asked as she gracefully pulled away.
"What am I doing anytime I am somewhere I should not be? Visiting you, silly." her smile was radiant and rimmed with lips just as red as her hair. Marigold rolled his eyes.
"How did you know I would be here?" he clarified.
"You wrote in your letter you had decided to spend the summer exercising your warrior training. If I remember correctly you spent the first two years of our friendship in the Gerberan Warrior Academy. Most would expect a guardsman to stay with those he trained with, whether by choice or regulation."
"How did you get here?" he questioned the worry in his voice not eluding her.
"I am quite capable of taking care of myself." Valentine pushed aside her cloak waist level brandishing a Mystico sword he had made for her himself, "if you must know I have decided to go adventuring through the three Kingdoms with some friends of mine again. We unfortunately have to backtrack through Kingdom II a bit for some emergency business. It was a perfect excuse to drop by and see if you were indeed here."
"You are adventuring with those Rogues again? They always get you into trouble." Marigold sighed in annoyance.
"They are friends, Prince Marigold Ashton." Valentine stepped forward planting a soft kiss on his cheek before turning back to the forest, "I will see you later, my flower." she giggled and disappeared back into the treeline.
