Chapter: Elder squad meets with Gray, Magia, Benjamin, and Math
Once Magia and Benjamin were reunited with Grayson and Matheus in the Ashton home they were faced with an impressed Peggot and Valentine and an ashamed Ten.
"So this is real life right now?" Axel asked awestruck, their childhood heroes were standing in front of them.
"Right." Valentine said slowly looking to Ten with her fiery pink eyes, "So they all passed the test? Are you sure?"
"Hush, Valentine." Ten glared, everyone's eyes on her.
"Test? You mean those Beasts you lured us to?" Matheus snapped quickly. Ten gave a slow nod.
"I must say," Valentine glanced at Matheus in annoyance, "I didn't expect any of you to make it out of there alive, aside from you of course." She gestured at Magia who shifted uncomfortably.
"I try my best." She mumbled.
"I understand you are all aware of the state the three kingdoms og Galaxia have fallen into at the moment, yes?" Ten watched Peg's expression as he looked from face to face, studying first Benjamin's, then Magia's, Gray's, and giving a small amused smirk when he came to Matheus's. Once the group nodded in response he continued, "Goody. Then I don't need to regurgitate all that gooey nonsense." Peggot mused.
"Yizeldan, are you sure that your friends are-" a crimson haired woman paused, looking for the right word with doubt written all over her face, despite her efforts of politeness. Ten blinked at the name, followed but the familiar pain in her head.
"Yizeldan? Like Princess Yizeldan Des?" Magia squinted in interest.
"Maggie continues to surprise me everyday, who knew she read history books." Matheus threw a glare at the culprit of the name slip.
"I'm not whoever that is, we don't have time to waste on this discussion." Ten responded gruffly, pulling her hood off and stepping forward, "The elder squad has been working to find the reasoning behind the royal council's reconstruction of the serum and releasing the beasts. Strangely, the surviving council members are the ones who did not want to allow it from the beginning. Something's changed. Since we can't stop this from happening we've decided to do some distributing of the original Serum Orb. Gain some, new recruits."
"No way!" Gray was notably excited. Ten laughed before continuing.
"Present in this room are-"
"You skipped a part!" Peggot sang.
"SHh, don't interrupt." The redhead's eyes flashed at him.
"No, Peggot is right. I just, you know, thought we could confront her separate from the group." Ten Folded her arm uncomfortably flashing Peggot the go ahead look. He jumped up excitedly.
"Now you, my rash young lady, are Magia Rosa Sebastian, the daughter and apprentice of the Keeper of Kingdom One. Maybe this test was a little redundant to you?"
"What of it?" Magia asked throwing a nervous glance at Benjamin's questioning face.
"The serum, do you have it already?" Peggot narrowed his eyes. Everyone stood in uncomfortable silence, all eyes on a silent Magia.
"Yes. I'm using orbs to alter my eye color. I've only had it for a short while, I stole it."
"Stole it?" Ten asked.
"From where?" Valentine's face was filled with a curious mischief.
"The Kingdom Two Research and Sciences Department. Scientist Gathooc's office."
"He is still alive?" Peggot choked.
"One of them is." Valentine scoffed.
"Are you with us then?" Peggot asked. Magia gave an annoyed nod. Peggot turned to Benjamin and continued, "And you, Benjamin Elemend, son of former Gerberan guard and and Hunter, top ranking student of all enrolled in the Gerbera Warrior Academy, by a long shot might I add." He glanced at Magia smirking, receiving a glare in return, "We're interested in recruiting you, Benjamin. Please come with us and we will explain further." Benjamin turned to Ten accusingly,
"You put us through all this, attack your friends, and then just expect us to follow you?" He gestured for the others and turned to leave, Magia stepping forward.
"I have to go, so you might as well stop being a big baby and come with." Magia rolled her eyes raising a hand, the others not stopping.
