Chapter: Kitealla Gets the News
Kitealla sat on the floor against the wall of her new office as "the Creator of the Serum Orb". Her newly sensitive hearing could pick up the sound of someone traversing the hall leading to this hidden little alcove of guest offices. Multiple someones, in fact. Kitealla stood and pulled the hood of her black cloak in place, the lower half of her face already hidden beneath a cloth mask.
The footsteps stopped and there was a brief pause before a quick loud knock on the door. She opened it allowing two black cloaked figures who she assumed must be Keepers of Kingdom II and III along with head Scientist Gathooc is the department of Research and Sciences trademark white lab coat to enter, closing it behind them.
"Well?" she questioned flatly.
"They have voted to allow you twenty civilian test subjects. You may conduct the entrance exams yourself and begin experimenting when you have made your selections." Keeper II answered dutifully before giving a grunt,"choose wisely, Creator."
"Thank you, Keeper." Kitealla breathed, sounding wholeheartedly grateful and relieved.
"There is one other thing," Keeper II continued, "we would like to send the previous failures to the Kingdom III Research and Sciences Department, which is far more equipped for Beast studies, to further the search for an explanation on why this transformation has happened and whether or not it is reversible."
"That seems like the most logical move to make with those poor fellows," Kitealla agreed, "will I receive updates on the studies and their findings?"
"Of course!" Keeper III nodded as Keeper II handed her some forms to sign.
"Very well." Kitealla skimmed through the forms less carefully than she'd like to admit, but in the end Kingdom III was given the Creator's stamp of approval.
