Chapter: The Creator Meets Her Captain
Subject: S22A
Ability: Fire summoning and control over existing flames.
"You wanted to see me, Creator?" the Creator turned to face One, the captain of her experiment's new squad.
"Yes, I wanted to give you some more notes on your new squad mates." The Creator patted the files on her desk, they contain abilities, exam results, privacy and name preferences. There is quite a bit of other information that may be useful to you as their captain, as well."
"We have the right to choose our level of anonymity?"
"Of course. Just refrain from getting into any trouble with this privilege."
"Oh, good. I see no point in hiding my identity from you and this cloak is pretty stuffy." one pulled down her hood.
"Serafin?" the Creator gasped and stared down her top ranked subject, her cheeky grin irritating her immensely, "I bet you feel so clever right now." she said in a firm tone crossing her arms. One's smile grew as she responded.
"Of course."
"I watched you set a glass window aflame."
"And I watched you shatter the same unbreakable glass."
"You could have told me you were planning to-"
"To what?" her playful grin turned into an angry frown, "I could have told you I was planning on using the SerumOrb on myself?"
"Serafin, I," the Creator sighed, "I had no choice."
"Kitealla," Serafin smiled softly and placed a hand on her friend's shoulder, "then neither did I." She took a step forward and pulled her into a quick embrace. Kitealla stiffened, unsure of what to say next.
"So, uh," Serafin laughed, taking a step back, "wanna tell me how I outranked you, Creator?"
"I like the number three, and although I did surpass all the other successful entrants in the tests on agility, speed, strength, yada yada, I am neither a skilled warrior nor have a mastery of Mystico Magics. This also makes it easier for me to study everyone else." the Creator explained.
"As well as not having found your ability." One added.
"Right. I see you studied the Captain's files I had delivered to you the other night." the Creator turned to pace.
"Of course." One smirked before continuing, "Although I did notice there are quite a few undiscovered abilities. Do you think maybe these squad members don't have one?"
"There is always a possibility, I suppose. It doesn't seem to relate to having Mystico blood, so what reason would some have an ability and others not?" One nodded at the thinking scientist.
