Chapter: RIley's weakening ability

"You gotta admit, these suits are pretty cool." Riley flipped his zipper up and down.

"Did you not have zippers back home?" Alex asked prompting a snort from Grayson.

"No, I mean, they;re made just for us, sync up with our abilities, keep them from harming us." Yizeldan and grayson shook their heads. It seemed to be a popular opinion amongst the students, the coolest part of being here is the special suit, fashioned in the color of your choice. Iris's purple one is inflammable, Yizeldan sported a neon greenish yellow one, grayson blue, sophia pink, and Alex and riley were in red.

The group went through their daily education routine waiting for the training portion of the day.

Group 12's training ground had an area for each members ability. Riley was stocked with weights, Sophia had access to books on animals,, and they were well stocked on fire extinguishers.

"Okay, riley first." the instructor 425 droned in his usual bored voice.

The rest of the group watched as riley struggled to use his super strength to lift what he had effortlessly lifted yesterday grabbing all the observers' attentions. Grayson and Yizeldan exchanged worried looks.

"This isn't good." Yizzy thought to herself knowing that when a serum ability fades the recipient is usually lost as well.

"All right riley, you can stop now." the instructor sighed and turned to sophia.

"WHat do you pan on doing today?" he asked. Sophia quickly pulled a book out of her bag.

"I want to try ancient beasts." she said matter of factly.

"We don't know what they truly look like." Iris pointed out.

:I have an idea. And at least I know the bone structure." she responded looking to the instructor expectantly.

"Let me get confirmation that this is olay first, Sophia. He sighed, knowing very well he couldn't allow her to turn into a monstrous beast.

Chapter: CLinic visit where riley goes away/Iris ability burning her

At the end of the day each subject is given a folder containing their identification cards and the notes and papers filled out over their performance this week. Sometimes, if something serious was in there it was delivered straight to the assigned doctor. Riley and Iris were heading toward the cluster of clinic buildings without their folders.

"I really don't think you guys should be worried." Sophia piped up from RIley's back, "I mean everyone has a bad day. Iris set a building on fire." Iris shook her head while the others snickered.

They reached the building and went inside. The woman at the front desk gave Alex a clearance card for the group which he then transferred to the man standing by the clinic accessway.

"Hello group 12," the woman behind the desk smiled, "finished already?" they all nodded. Alex was the first to hand her the items he held in his hand. She took it and smiled.
