Vengent Amphibious Beast Quest
*A Mystican altered Beast (Beast tamers) Beast that dwells in caves. It attacks with slashing claws and electricity. It is believed that if their mate is slain they will never rest until they have vengeance (amphibious).*
"So, the keepers and royal council of the three kingdoms have been giving us some missions that have been very problematic events for the Royal guard squads." one clapped and excitedly hopped around. The squad watched their captain, three (Kitealla) shook her head at the display.
"What are we doing for them today?" Four (Peggot) questioned impatiently. One straightened and cleared her throat dutifully.
"A beast has been living in a cave near a little village on the Kingdom II side of the II and III border. Any remnants of the bodies found had claw marks and clear signs of electrocution. The sighting rumors include different varieties of an Amphibian Beast."
"Electrocution?" FOur laughed, "sounds like another Mystico mess to me."
"Beast Tamers, actually." Five (Marigold) corrected, "and you're part of a mystico mess."
"Do you know how many guards and hunters have died because of you guys messing with Beasts?" Nine added.
"That is literally the reason we are being assigned this mission. To clean up whatever mess this is." one sighed, feeling the tension building again.
"I vote the Mysticos to take this one." four offered, "Especially the Beast Tamer over there." Seven (Angyl Jane) mumbled something indiscernible, eight placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Fine," five scoffed, "wouldn't want any more warriors getting taken down by this thing anyway."
"Okay," one sighed, "that leaves us with myself, two, five, seven, eight and Ten (Sage). again."
"So this is Hyacinth? Cute." Five rolled his eyes
"We need to find the cave." one ordered everyone to spread out, night had fallen, and these beast like to feed just before and after sunset.
"I suppose i should have asked if everyone had the proper Orbs." One commented offhandedly to Five and Ten who were nearby.
"w e probably should have asked Seven some questions before this." ten noted searching the long grasses warily.
"You think she has something to do with this?" Five questioned.
"If course not. She is a beast tamer, and it carries over into her ability."
"I trust she won't withhold information when the time for it comes." one ceased their wandering thoughts.
A low croaklike rumble forced the trio to look in the direction Two, Seven, and Eight had gone.
"Were they not supposed to alert me?" one asked.
"Something must be wrong." Ten commented as they ran forward. Seven waved the approaching group over to where she and eight were crouched behind some rocks before a small lake.
"Tw0-" she started
""Of course," one mumbled in annoyance, "C'mon. Seven, we will need you." one grabbed her arm and the rushed around the cave.
"I know very little about Beast Taming Mysticos, i know you cannot control others enchantment but can you remove it?" one questioned.
"Only kill, and you need a special weapon." Seven answered slowly.
"Of course you do." five mumbled.
"Do you have one?" eight asked the girl next to him. She didn't answer/
"Rank Seven do you have one?" One demanded. Seven nodded,reaching into her boot pulling out a small dagger.
"That is it?" five scoffed. Seven sighed and tightened her grip, allowing it to grow to full sword size.
"I used to hunt these things myself. Irresponsible Beast Tamers annoy me, too." she explained as she moved forward, looking back to her captain for orders.
"Let's go save Two;s ass." one sighed and the group moved in.
They silently spotted two on the ground, noting the damp and standing water of the cave.
"Ten, Sponge Orb." one ordered in a low whisper. Ten did as she was told easily locating the orb and releasing it. Her amplifying ability allowed her to absorb nearly all the moisture from the small cave.
"Okay, let's find it and get it's attention so Seven can get a decent shot. Ten you should probably check on two." everyone nodded, one kicked a rock getting the attention of something in the back. With it;s security system disabled the beast was forced to present itself.
"Move!" one ordered moving the beast away from two allowing ten safe access. With one hit and a bright flash of light the beast was gone.
"A little anticlimactic." eight noted.
"How's two?" one asked.
'Out cold but everything seems to be okay."
"Resistant to electrocution," one chuckled, "the creator is going to love that one."
