Chapter: Meeting in Hiding
"This is the first time we've all been in the same room for what seems like an eternity." A deep voice boomed as he looked around the room.
"It has been awhile. Don't you think it's time for a re-ranking?" another growled.
"Three (Peggot)." Two (Kitealla) scolded, "What do you know, One? Why have you called this meeting?"
"The Royal Council is discussing distributing an approved serum."
"For what reason? Twelve (Sage) gasped, "They've already killed all the Beasts and eradicated it from the Hunters and Guards. They've returned order to the people."
"They never learn." Three (Peggot) sighed boredly.
"What do you mean improved?" Two (Kitealla) asked.
"WIsh I knew." their new captain chuckled, "he just said improved."
"Who's he?"
"I'll be seeing you all again soon. Until then, stay hidden." and with that he disappeared, sending the squad members back to their scattered locations.
