Chapter: Yizeldan steals the Second Dose

"And how are you today?" Dr. Aveniccii gave his usual malicious smile from his desk as she entered the room. He gestured toward the observation table nearby.

"Fine, I suppose."

"Still no memory?" he chuckled as she shook her head and moved toward the table. Yizeldan paused as the glint of a vial on his desk caught her eye. It contained an oddly familiar shimmering almost black liquid. Aveniccii caught her gaze, that grin spreading across his face again.

"We managed to capture the squad member who stole and used the only Phase 2 dose of the original Serum Orb, the serum orb we suspect you may have." he chuckled and moved the vial inside one of the desk drawers.

"How about we get started?" everything processed as normal until just as aveniccii finished the routine questions and exams when a woman rushed in.

"Aveniccii, sir, you are needed. It is urgent."

"See yourself out, Yizeldan. Until next time." he rushed after the woman.

Yizeldan's gaze fixated on the desk drawer containing the vial. She wasn't entirely sure why, but she was filled with the overwhelming need to remove it from his possession and destroy it. Or maybe even use it. She shook the thought away and crept toward the drawer, hastily pulling it open and snatching up the vial before leaving the room.

Chapter: Another night on the hill

The mischievous trio from group twelve were up on the hill again. Yizeldan was tinkering with whatever she could while Grayson and Iris were watching the sunset again. Iris looked to gray, the color changing sky lighting up his face. SHe wondered who he was in his old life, his family, friends, romances.

"Grayson," Iris started, "Is there anything you can tell me about before?" He thought for a second.

"Well, I can remember I had this amazing group of friends. I was pretty good in my warrior academy, training to be a hunter like my family. I can remember I was working up the courage to ask a girl out," He blushed," I was saving her from something stupid she did when I was caught." he lied away, but not before Iris saw the hurt and betrayal in his face.

"Oh." she whispered, not asking him to tell more.

In the moments before sleep Iris told Misty what had happened the night Riley had to leave.

"You'll be happy to know that all those guards that were wandering around were not there because of you and your friends." She said as she pulled her covers up and turned the light off.

"Really? WHat was going on?"

"There's another academy. The difference is these kids are considered dangerous because of the unpredictability of their abilities. They started a rebellion last night and escaped from the school. The guards were making sure we didn't try to pull anything like that as well.

"Wow." Iris breathed.

"They were going to send Grayson." She yawned sleepily.

"Because he could easily escape?"

"Yep."

"WHat about you? You're like an encyclopedia that never has to be replaced because it sucks up more information as it goes." She was silent for a few seconds.

"I can't tell you. Goodnight." Iris heard her shift in her bed. Any of them could cause problems if they wanted.
