Academy Lockdown
Defense class is favored by most students in Galaxia, the children of Gerbera are no exception, especially since most aspire to be a guardsman or hunter. The abilities of Galaxia's youth hold great importance.
As always in their years of schooling Benjamin, Grayson, Magia, and Matheus enter the training grounds with the rest of their class. It was a gloomy, rainy day and the wet grass squashed beneath their feet.
"I wish they would cancel class like when we started warrior academy." Magia whined, Grimacing at the muddy training ground.
"You complain too much," Benjamin rolled his eyes, "What do you guys want to start with today?"
"Yo! Watch out!" Benjamin and Magia leapt to the side at the sound of Matheus's voice, however Grayson wasn't lucky enough to avoid the turants path and was knocked into the mud by his skidding brother.
"Seriously, Math?" He breathlessly punched him in the shoulder and pulled himself to his feet. Matheus laughed, clearly finding the incident hysterical.
"Never gets old."
"Hate to break it to you, but that got old when you started it." Grayson seethed picking his sword roughly from the mud, :I guess i;; start with this since Math here got it dirty. You act like a nine year old."
"Hmph. Let me join you." Matheus;s eyes narrowed at the insult.
"Bring it." Grayson looked unmoved by the challenge and started for the sparring holographs. Math jumped to his feet, drawing his sword on Grayson who cooly peeked over his shoulder at him.
"Stop. No. You're going to get yourselves into trouble." Magia sighed boredly.
"No we aren't Mags. Our last test bumped us up a level, we now have live sparring privileges." Matheys stood with a firm stance.
":No way, you guys?" Magia gaped.
"Did you not receive a new handbook with your test results?" Benjamin asked, slightly surprised. Knowing her abilities, she should have leveled up with them.
"Well yeah, but you know I don't pay much attention to the textbooks we get." SHe rummaged through her bag while the boys were taken aback, not for the first time, by her stubbornness to learn and follow rules and regulations.
"Ah, here it is." She pulled out a dark red book.
"WHat? No way!" Benjamin breathed.
"Mags is max level." Grayson stared at the book in admiration.
"No way." Matheus lowered his sword, "I always thought Benny would be the first to max out."
"Maybe I should've payed a little more attention." She turned the book around in her hands, wiping away any droplets of rain appearing on its smooth surface.
Suddenly, their attention was ripped away from the book by a loud rumble outside the village.
"What the hell was that?" Magia shoved the book back in her bag and searched the gray horizon, as every other student was.
"We ask that all students please return to the school building interior immediately." the loud speaker screeched to life, repeating it's request.
The group hesitated, straining their eyes to locate whatever had made the noise as panicked and excited students pushed past them.
"Inside, now!" an attendant forced the group along into the flow.
