•••After weeks of meticulously compiling evidence, Aeris finally made her way to her school's gymnasium. There was a steely determination in her eyes as she marched across the hallway towards her destination. Clutched tightly in her hand were the papers that would prove her innocence.
As Aeris entered the gym, a hushed silence fell over the room. All eyes turned towards her, curiosity and anticipation evident on the faces of her teammates and the coaching staff. Without a moment's hesitation, she threw the stack of evidence onto the gym floor, the papers scattering in all directions. The sound of the papers hitting the ground echoed through the room, signifying the moment of truth.
"I told you it wasn't me!" Aeris exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of frustration and hurt. She continued her determined stride towards Rutsuki, her accuser. With each step, her anger grew, and before anyone could react, Aeris slapped Rutsuki across the face. The room gasped in surprise, unable to fathom the sudden display of raw emotion.
"I told you, I'll be back," Aeris seethed, her voice trembling with a mixture of rage and disappointment. Slap after slap, she delivered her frustration directly to Rutsuki's face. The coach and Aeris's teammates swiftly intervened, pulling them apart, their grips firm and resolute.
"Get off me! Let go!" Aeris shouted, her efforts to break free almost futile. She was determined to let Rutsuki know the depth of her betrayal, to make her understand the pain she had caused. Finally, with one powerful pull, Aeris managed to free herself from her coach's grasp.
"I told you to trust me," Aeris sobbed, tears streaming down her face. "And you turned your back on me. You abandoned me without a second thought. What's wrong with this team? I loved this team more than anything, but you all betrayed me."
With a trembling hand, Aeris wiped away her tears, her eyes still filled with a mix of hurt and determination. She took a deep breath, her voice steadier now. "I will file a case against you, the school, and the volleyball association," she declared, her words echoing through the gym. And with that, she turned and walked out, ignoring the calls and pleas.
"So that's it, I don't know what happened, but I've heard it all through my uncles," Aeris said, her voice wavering. "Rutsuki still played, but in exchange, her father retired, the coach and the teacher were fired. And that's all I know."
Coach Ukai sighed, his eyes filled with concern. "The anger issue really comes down to the family."
"Yeah, I know," Aeris replied, hanging her head. "If Tobio did something to you guys, please accept my apologies. I'll make sure to punish him."
Chizuru, couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Wow, I can't believe it. All of it. Everything is insane."
Aeris nodded, mustering a small smile. "Yeah, but it's all good now. Things change. I'm here at Karasuno, living my life. And honestly, I like this more than Takenodai High School. Since, I can't destroy them through volleyball, since they'll be graduating soon. I'll just kill with kindness"
Tears welled up in Yui eyes. "Thank you for accepting us, Aeris. This was the most amazing impulsive decision I've ever experienced. I will always, always be grateful to the Karasuno family." Yui bowed deeply.
Mao's voice choked with emotion. "Thank you for everything. I'm truly grateful. Because of all of you, we won't have to go through that ordeal of moving up."
Yui, one of the team's senior members, joined in the embrace, tears streaming down her face. "You make me cry, Aeris-chan. We're grateful, and always thankful for everything. Thank you for being here. Because of you, our spirits are high."
