"We should keep a code name," I said, to my friend.
"Okay, what? Some muscle name would be easy," she suggested.
"Anconeus?" I asked, lost in thought.
"Why? Something else will be better."
"I don't know, I like anconeus. We can cover up saying, Anna," I chuckle.
"Ah okay, whatever you want," she smiled, looking at my flushed face as I was thinking of him.
Today, as I flip through the same pages,
I once again come across your name,
the memories of us flooding back in.
"Anconeus," I read,
as my Zygomaticus major and minor contract
and the blood vessels in my face widen turning my cheeks red.
I know that it shouldn't be this way,
and I should get a hold of myself,
but this just, feels right?***
PS: I'm a med student, that's why the muscle names are here lol. Anconeus is a muscle of our upper limb, and the Zygomaticus major and minor are the muscles used in smiling.
I have no clue why I chose Anconeus at that moment, but I think Anna was a pretty good cover up while talking about 'him' in a room full of people.
