hallway moment

Through quiet halls, my friend and I,
Lost in talk as time slipped by.
She laughed and nudged, a playful dare,
"That's him, right?" with a knowing stare.

And there he stood, calm and tall,
Square glasses sharp, moustache and all,
Eyes so deep, they held me still,
As butterflies swarmed against my will.
