I love his sapphire blue eyes,
his undone beard,
and his giggles. Giggles. Not laughter.
But I miss your hazel eyes and nerdy glasses,
your clean shave that made you look like a teenager who hadn't hit puberty,
and your heartfelt laughter.
He's not you.
He can never be you.I love the way he holds my arm while walking with me,
the way he reads out science textbooks to me like it's a horror story,
the way he agrees with me always,
the way he covers me with a blanket when I fall asleep on the couch,
the way he tries to calm me down when I go on ranting about how useless I am when I'm having a panic attack,
and the way he just wants to treat me right.
But I miss the way you used to hold my hand while crossing the road,
the way you used to read out crime fiction novels to me even though they're not exactly you're favorite,
the way you used to make me see a different perspective,
the way you used to carry me back to bed when I used to fall asleep on the couch,
the way you make me realize my true abilities when I'm having a panic attack,
and the way you tried to treat me right. But he's not you.
He can never be you.***
PS: okayy the ending can have two different perspectives here. It's either like he is good, but not better than you.
Or, you were such an evil (narcissist), that he would never be a monster like you.
(I know it's a bit confusing *awkward laughter* but I got excited like a five year old when I realized that the ending could have two meanings)
(I hope it made sense lol)
