I asked for the alluring blossom
not knowing the thorns would stab.
I asked for the enchanting rainbow
not knowing the lightening would strike.
You showed me dreams,
but gave me grief.
You stay quite, stonewalling me,
not asking for forgiveness
even though you knew
what you were doing all along.
And then I wept alone until
I was left with no tears.
At least crying would help me ease the pain;
but I can't even do that.
