(1 month after the GDC sent reinforcements from the Cabal Imperium.)
Empress Caitial: How long have you had to holdout here on this system?
Colonel Osiris: A long time. 2 months to be precise.
Lieutenant Nimbus: Us, we had to holdout for one whole week before the GDC came. City was decimated within 2 days before you guys came.
Empress Caitial: You've seen a lot, it seems.
Lieutenant Nimbus: Rohan would agree too if he was still around.
Empress Caitial: I heard about it. I'm sorry for your loss!
Lieutenant Nimbus: Thank you. Now we should see about how we get these darn Covies out of Neomuna.
Commander Hence: Indeed.
Guardian: Ghost! Pull out a map of Neomuna.
Ghost: Of course, sir!
(Holomap of Neomuna pops up)
Colonel Osiris: From what we can get intel on, our forces managed to recapture the Veil Holding Vault and the West district. And the Shadow Covenant seem to be pushing out of Sector 8 and 11-B. But they are still holding onto the ports and the East, North, and Southwest sides. And according to one of our patrols, there was a large battle zone happening near the factories. It's gonna take some time.
Empress Caitial: Have they captured any key infrastructure or damaged anything that could prove useful to us?
Lieutenant Nimbus: A while back, we stopped them from advancing towards the Neptunium Line and we recaptured most of the industry sectors. But they managed to cause major damage to the CloudArk and there are some minor damage to some military checkpoints.
Empress Caitial: What about the Gate Station?
Colonel Osiris: Under their control. About 2 companies, 5 airships, 2 tank squads, a whole entire sniper team, and a single mortar launcher powerful enough to knock out our tanks.
Empress Caitial: And the Typhoon Imperator?
Commander Hence: As defended as the Stations. The good news is that we managed to destroy most of their infrastructure, kill most of their troops, and we assassinated Calus. The invasion force is in disarray.
Empress Caitial: Not exactly.
Ghost: What do you mean, your highness?
Empress Caitial: Even without leadership, we Cabal can still put up a good fight. We often replace our commanders with more experienced and battle hardened forces to help our troops combat enemy forces. If Calus is gone, then he might've already been replaced by someone new and these small victories the Shadow Covenant are gaining are the absolute proof.
Lieutenant Nimbus: I have to agree with the Princess. With Calus gone, I thought they would be in disarray but with our troops still unable to gain control over the occupied areas, we could face even bigger problems and it's only a matter of time before we would get pushed back again.
