And with Shadow Covenant forces now leaving the galaxy and being pushed out,
The time was coming.
The day when the Galactic Federation would later march into the homeworld of the Dark Master and where all his loyalists were.
Time after time
Battle after battle
Campaign after campaign
All lead to this very moment.
And that moment was here.
Hearing word of the major victories of the Galactic Federation, many citizens rejoiced the news and suddenly began to join the GDC in its fight against the Shadow Covenant.
Millions signed up for what would be the last major battle in Galactic history and a battle that would determine the fate of the galaxy.

As the recruits increased, worlds once under the influence of the Shadow Covenant began to welcome their liberators in open arms and started to pledge allegiance to the Federation which had aided them in the war.
Entire planets donated arms and volunteers that each proved beneficial to the war effort and soon, the whole galaxy was United to face a common enemy.
The GDC organized a fleet consisting of GDC Battle Fleet, Home Defense Guard, Ethos Prime Naval Regiments, and naval forces from the many Allie's within the coalition.
All of whom were stationed and ready to attack once the order had been given.
Factories and industrial complexes later produced the war materials while the recruits within the army were getting prepared for the largest fight of their life.
This battle was going to be the last one ever and who the victor was, was yet to be determined.
And while the GDC were preparing to go on the last offensive, the Shadow Covenant was preparing for its first ever and only defense since the tides had turned ever since the Shadow Covenant began to lose territory much more in the late stages of the war.
Shadow Covenant leaders along with the Dark Master established a military headquarters within an old stronghold castle located in the mountains while the local city and other residential areas on the planet were occupied.
The Lost City which was considered as the de facto capital was placed under military control and the inhabitants there were forced to give their life to the Shadow Covenant. Some were very loyal while others were enslaved and forced to fight. Children became part in the fight and were forced into the military.
The training for these poor villagers only lasted for 2 months which was not a lot but it did give them some ideas about the enemy they would be facing.
What remained of the weapons and equipment of the Shadow Covenant army had to be used sparingly and there wasn't enough supplies to maintain the troops.
Only 1,000,000 soldiers of the original army were left as compared of 1.2 billion when the war started. In order to make up for these losses, the Dark Master with the help of his newly reformed Dark Council began to make some changes that would sorta prove some usefulness.
The Shadow Council would become the top military field commanders and would take command of all troops and divisions throughout the planet, replacing the normal chain of command.
All forces were to have Shadow Council presence and even have Shadow Order soldiers serving as commanding officers.
All soldiers were to not retreat but die to the last man.
And the list goes on.
As means to compensate the losses they had sustained throughout the war, a majority of people signed up for the Shadow Covenant army or the regular defense forces that later pledged loyalty to their new occupants.
But true followers and esteemed loyalists who had been loyal to the end would meet a different fate where the Dark Master in his time of need and with GDC now coming in for all sides was gonna give his students the power they merely wanted and needed to combat the Guardians.
A new force within the Shadow Covenant would later replace the Dark Order which was the original command corps of the Shadow Covenant army and was renamed the Shadow Knights or the Shadow Zealots of Honor. The name varies from the many.
These new soldiers were outfitted with new enhancements and came from planets once under the control of the Shadow Covenant. They would be given new weapons and equipment that while were in small numbers at the moment, were easy to use and very deadly in others opinion.
The command of the entire Shadow Covenant forces would later be granted to the tormentors who were a part of the old Dark Order and were the sons and daughters of the Dark Lord himself. These tormentors were later paired with Subjugators and Husks along with other forms of a new commando unit.
As both sides prepared for the coming war, the battle was later to be determined to see who would later win this war.
