Cassandra wore an over-sized pink t-shirt with a strawberry graphic and loose yoga pants. Holding a heating pad to her abdomen, she looked away. "I'm not hungry."

Ignoring her grumpy protest, the Jedi set the tray in front of her. "You need to eat something."

A bowl of fresh fruit, flatbread, hummus, crumbled feta-like cheese, and a pot of tea. All food Cassandra enjoyed. Anakin had even added a cluster of star purple blooms beside the offerings. Flowers for her. "This is...too much."

Anakin unfolded a linen napkin, smoothing it over her lap. "I thought we'd eat together."

Cassandra clutched the bundle of flowers to her nose, inhaling their sweet scent. "What about dinner with the court? Obi-Wan probably wants you there."

Even after protecting the city, Nal'el's grudging gratitude left her cold. Cassandra didn't have the energy to play political games or pretend she was happy to be there when she mourned Dr. Khal.

Obi-Wan liked rubbing elbows with the elite. She was more than happy to pass the buck to the older Jedi.

Tossing a grape into his mouth, Anakin grinned. "I blew it off. You're more important than schmoozing with stuffy politicians." He flopped onto the bed beside her. "Nal'el signed the treaty. We'll leave tomorrow."

"After the funeral." She reminded him pouring tea into a pair of lacquered cups painted with gold flowers and leaves. "I want to stay my goodbyes to Dr. Khal."

"Have you looked in the satchel yet?" Anakin darted a look over at the bag in the armchair. "It might be important."

"I'm sure it is." Cassandra agreed. "I'll dig through it on the flight home."
