"He who seeks evil will find it. Evil is like a shadow. It has no real substance of its own, it is simply a lack of light."-Unknown
In the Jedi Council chamber unease rippled among the Masters. Madam Jocasta stood in the center of the room; hands folded neatly at her waist.
Yoda pointed at the librarian. "Sure you are of this?"
"I am."
Yoda and Windu exchanged concerned glances.
Windu raised his hand in dismissal. "Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Madam Jocasta. May the Force be with you."
The librarian dipped in an elegant bow and shuffled stiffly from the chamber.
"Bane stole materials about Dyads in the Force?" Obi-Wan murmured. "For what purpose?"
"There has not been a Dyad in millennia." Mundi agreed from his seat, ghostly hands gripping the armrests.
The Darkside was cunning. The Jedi had been blind. The enemy knew one of the Jedi's greatest secrets. Dyads were rare. So, incredibly rare. In sync the pair were able to do incredible things with the Force, heal one another from death wounds, teleport from one location to another, even share energy.
"If there is a Dyad, we must find them." Windu proclaimed.
Nods went around the chamber. If the Jedi could claim the Dyad before the Sith, it would be a great triumph for the Order.
"Who could it be?" Aayla Secura wondered.
"Likely they're Jedi." Obi-Wan interjected. "We should first search among our Order. It is not wise to go seeking the Dyad openly. Not with a war going on. They could be targeted."
"They are vulnerable because they don't know." Windu agreed. "A wise suggestion Master Kenobi. We'll keep this information among us."
"Agreed we are then, the Dyad's identity must become known." Yoda curled gnarled fingers over his cane. "Find them we must."

Unseen, the man watched the sleeping couple from the shadows of the bedroom. The chronometer on his wrist rolled over the minutes as he stood and observed with pure loathing and curiosity. The curiosity triumphed, locking his knees in place.
How many opportunities would he have to study the sorceress? His plans were falling into place.
Patience. A deep voice echoed from the cavern of his soul.
The man was late for a meeting but didn't care, morbidly fascinated by the dark-haired woman lying in bed. She had a sharp, striking beauty that turned even the hardest heads. Dark lashes fanned over moon-pale cheeks and her pink lips were parted in slumber.
