Some time had passed since that dinner. Zhongli and the Traveler had been busy with their own ambitions, so she had not interacted with them  much. Though she did see the Traveler and Paimon around the city sometimes, she never stopped them for a conversation. She doubted they had the time to explain anything. The one man she would have stopped for a conversation was not with them when she saw them, so her wishes of asking him and finding out why the former Geo Archon was associating with the Fatui wasn't something she could change into reality. Whatever the reason, she wanted to help him.

However, it was not like she wasn't busy herself. Recently, there had been an increase in abyssal activity. It was noticeable from the increased amount of abyssal energy radiating from monsters. It seemed like the Abyss had heard of Rex Lapis' passing and decided to take advantage of it. In doing so, her requests had finally become a bit more worthwhile. Travelling citizens and patrolling Millelith guards put forth requests about hilichurl and abyss mage camps. Locations were marked on a mini map that Verr Goldet quickly set up, where people would mark the spots. Of course, while all abyssal activities needed to be dealt with, even in them, there were comparably more dangerous ones. A camp with a Lawachurl was far more hazardous than a camp without one. Those were prioritized and marked with thicker red crosses.

Honestly, she couldn't create less about what request she completed first. Each one brought a certain, unique appeal to them. The thrill she felt was a divine sensation, a feeling she'd gone without for too long. Finally. Fighting monsters, protecting a nation. She did all that to help build Liyue. And it felt good to now help safeguard the nation when it was at its lowest.

Another addition was that Xiao also accompanied her on these requests. No, not because she needed his help, but more so he could remain distracted. She knew he needed it and that his daily duties didn't do enough for him. When she asked him if he wanted to help, he agreed with no hesitation. Sometimes, (Y/N) would help him with his own missions, if he allowed her to.

She glanced over at the map. To her disdain, the map looked comparably empty today, even if that was a good thing. She looked away from the board, offering a smile at the receptionist before walking over to the railing, stopping beside her fellow Adeptus.

After a moment of silence, she spoke up. "You don't have to come with me today." He looked at her. "There's not many requests regarding the abyss."

"... I see," he said. She chuckled softly, eyes raking over his face. He looked a bit disappointed. The expression looked cute on him. She had never really seen him present an emotion so expressively, so the change was a welcome surprise.

"How are you feeling?" She asked, looking away from him. He might feel embarrassed if she saw his expression drop further than it already has, so she saved him the humiliation. The sunrise was a pretty sight anyways.
