(Y/N) was an Adeptus. Now that there was peace, she spent her time tending to requests sent from the people of Liyue. Her life was simple now: no more wars, no more fighting, no losses.
And things could almost be considered boring, until one day she...

Sigils of Permission. (Y/N) had spent her free time trying to learn more about them. She had a vague memory of them being used during the Archon War, though the whole event nothing but a blur. It was clearly not the first time she had heard about them, so she was going through each book to figure out where she had seen them. She was also trying to find out why Childe was in need of them in the first place.
However, this quest of hers made her feel as if she was neglecting Mimi. It had been a while since she's simply sat down and entertained her cat, so she had brought all the books she had borrowed from Wanwen Book house home. The cat snuggled in her lap, purring under her touch as she leaned back against her pillow. She flicked through the pages, reading each word carefully.
From what she's read, Sigils of Permission were created by Rex Lapis and used during the war. A lot of mortals used them due to the channeled adeptal power contained within them. She tried her best to remember anything else important about them, but nothing came to mind. She could ask Xiao, but she felt that it would be selfish to ask him about them. Would he be comfortable recalling memories about such a terrible time in his life?
She put the book away and laid down, bringing the cat to her chest. She snuggled close to her, telling herself that she should have the courage and ask him tomorrow.
The next morning, after getting ready and kissing Mimi goodbye, she made her way to Wangshu Inn. As usual, Xiao was there, eating tofu as his breakfast. She sat down next to him, smiling.
"Hey," she said. She tipped her head, gesturing to the plate of tofu sitting on the table in front of him. "Will you ever get tired of it?"
He took a moment to respond. "... No."
(Y/N) chuckled softly. "I see. Hey, uh, I need to ask you something."
He perked up, sensing the shift in the atmosphere. "What is it? Do you need my help with something?"
"I have a question," she said. "It's about sigils of permission, and the Archon War. Is it alright if I continue with it?" Her eyes scanned his expression and body language. There wasn't any clear change in either of them. Maybe he wasn't too affected by the war to get visibly uncomfortable.
"... What do you need to know about it?" He asked, no longer reaching for the tofu blocks on his plate.
"Uh, well, I know that the sigils were used in the war," she said. "I just wanted to know if they were used for anything significant."
Xiao looked away. "Hmph. Rex Lapis used sigils of permission to lock away a God named Osial. It was one of the biggest battles during the Archon War. Do you really have no memory of it? I recall you were there."
