As expected, his transformation had made him far more stronger. He was faster, stronger, and bigger. He kept (Y/N) on her toes and she was struggling to find the upper hand in this battle.

She was sure she had the stamina to last the fight until he was the one who got tired. She didn't know much about delusions, but everything must have a consequence. There must be some sort of downfall to using something so powerful.

Would he be able to last in a fight against an Adeptus? She had full confidence that if she dodged all his blows and defended herself well, he would tire himself out in his foolish attempts to hit her.

"Come on," he drawled, his blade pushing against her sword. "Fight me. Properly. Show me your strength and defeat me. This is not a battle if you're not trying to win."

She scoffed. "It never was one. I'm too powerful for you."

Childe chuckled deeply, lifting his blade. She stumbled forward, the sudden weight shift catching her off balance, but she dodged his slash and swung her blade to his side. His armour was thick, and her cryo only slowly chopped at it.

The only point of weakness was his mask. It didn't look strong. She could slash it in half, but his head would be caught up in it too. She was unsure if she should kill him like that. If he deserved to die or not.

"I can see the gears in your mind spinning," he said. "Are you getting tired? Are you finally considering me as a threat, (Y/N)?"

She gritted her teeth. This guy would not shut up. She watched him teleport away, his weapon shifting into a bow. He shot a few arrows, one right after the other, landing sharply at her feet and behind her as she dodged. When meeting the ground, it splashed with water.

One of the arrows grazed her cheek. She rubbed the blood off with her thumb, hissing under her breath. He lunged towards her at the speed of light, the only thing that she could see being the sharp light of electro. She took a step sideways when her gut told her it was right, and then she parried his next one. His dashes were strong. Her feet were achingly pressing into the floor.

She knew he was grinning and she didn't like it. Just when his strength was making her arms sore, he teleported to the back. He swung his sword, slashes of hydro cutting the air and approaching her. She infused her blade with cryo and threw it through the hydro slashes, cutting it in half and freezing the rest mid air, having it drop to the floor and shatter. She then charged towards her sword, picking it up just in time to parry his attack.

"Good," he said. "You're starting to take me seriously."

He then teleported away, a large whirlpool forming in the ground after he shot the ground with a hydro arrow. Her eyes widened as a whale slowly jumped out of it, spinning slightly in the sky. It was going to land onto her. And if it did, the blow would be bad. Really bad. While the sight would be majestic in different circumstances, she couldn't stand there and simply watch. She sprinted out of the way, panting slightly as the whale just merely brushed her leg. She fell forward, grunting.
