Lantern Rite. She's been preparing for it. This time, the traveler was here to help. It's been ages. A long time, months, years. She's almost forgotten, almost placed him in the back of her head, to be left behind and to remain in her past.

"Paimon isn't too good at this..." she whined, the banner wrapped around her in a comical way. (Y/N) couldn't believe her incompetence.

The traveler chuckled, bringing Paimon closer to her to untangle her from the rope. She had just returned from her trip in Natlan, visiting Liyue for another Lantern Rite.

(Y/N) eagerly welcomed her back, excited to hear about her journey. Paimon did most of the talking, which lead to her clumsiness and carelessness. She explained each step of their adventure thoroughly, like if she had memorised each word said.

It was cute. It was fun to listen to. The Traveler shared her thoughts about the beauty of Natlan, and how there were many friendly people. She told her about the Saurians, how cute they were when they weren't hostile.

The Traveler successfully cut the rope off, which sent Paimon into another ramble.

"How about we focus more on these decorations?" The Adeptus suggested slyly, winking at the Traveler when Paimon pouted and huffed. She chuckled, and forced her companion to get to work.

After the decorations were set up, the three of them settled down for some food. They managed to get to the Wanmin Restaurant before there was a huge queue of people, and were sitting down when the crowd began to form. Paimon was eating like she had never before. The Traveler was the opposite, calmly using her chopsticks.

"What do you have in plan for today?" (Y/N) asked her, watching her closely as she took a bite of her own meal.

"Hm?" She looked up. "There are meant to be games, right? Last time Paimon and I were too caught up with the lanterns. This time, I'll play."

She smirked. "You want a competitor? I can play with you. Make a bet."

The Traveler smiled softly. "I don't lose easily, though." The two exchanged a few laughs.

They separated for a bit to finish helping others in different parts of Liyue. They met up again at the entrance of the city, welcoming guests from distant nations. It seemed that the Traveler did indeed know a lot of people, since visitors from all sorts of places were talking to her and hogging up the line.

She was surprised to see Kaeya, who after talking to Paimon and the Traveler, walked over to her.

"You look surprised, beautiful," he flashed her a smile. He extended a hand. "Nice to see you again."

She shook it. "Kaeya. The pleasure is mine," she scoffed when he raised her hand to his lips.

"Care to show me around?" He asked casually. This man was definitely attempting to charm her. She clicked her tongue and rejected him swiftly, telling him that she had duties to complete. He respected that and told her to find him later when she was free. She considered it but put it to the back of her mind.
