For a while after that, (Y/N) remained alert. She kept an eye out for any other Fatui members, or any other signs of their research, but to no avail. The research appeared to have been conducted discreetly, which was understandable. Childe wasn't exactly a mindless twat, even if half the time he acted like he was.

She decided that it was time for her to reach out to Zhongli. If she didn't do so, her questions would remain unanswered. She recalled that he had told everyone he was working as a consultant at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor over dinner. She tried to remember where exactly that parole was. She knew that the centre was within the city somewhere. She has passed the place a few times, but back then, it was just another building to her.

Though, she had also spoken to the director, Hu Tao. She really should have known where the Parlor was. However, that was a while Zhongli had started working there. From memory, she was rather... strange, but it was clear that she didn't mean any harm. She was just attempting to keep her business going, no matter how inadequately.

After searching for the Parlor, (Y/N) finally arrived at the building. She pushed down on the door handle, making her way inside. Looking around the interior, which was as dark and gloomy as the services they provided, she found herself looking straight into wide scarlet eyes belonging to a very eager director.

"Hello, hello!" Hu Tao greeted. "What brings an Adeptus to us today? You sure are lucky bumping into me. I was just on my way out. I could give you a taste of our very BOOtiful services!" She snickered. "Get it?"

Unsure what to think of her lame joke, she responded, "that was a good one. I'm actually looking for Mr. Zhongli."

The director seemed satisfied with her approval. "Oh, Mr. Zhongli? He might be running an errand, but I'll be happy to find out for ya if you're okay with sitting and waiting for a bit."

She nodded. "Alright. Thank you."

She disappeared down the hall. (Y/N) exhaled a breath. Wow, she surely was one lively person. Way too lively for someone who gets Mora from funeral services.

After waiting for a while, she saw Zhongli himself follow Hu Tao out from the doors. "Here he is, real in the flesh!"

"Thanks," she said to her again. For a moment, it was silent. The director stood there, looking between them both, before getting the hint and moving away.

"Would you like to take a walk?" (Y/N) asked the former Geo Archon. "I have some questions to ask you."

He nodded. "A walk would be lovely."

They exited the parlor. She suddenly felt a pang of anxiety hit her chest, not knowing how to start the conversation. Why was she nervous? Perhaps it was due to the fact that she was feeling awkward.

"I have a few different inquires. Do you mind if they're a bit serious?" her (Y/E/C) eyes flit to his face, gauging his reaction.

He chuckled, his hands clasped behind his back as they walked down the stairs, the harbor slowly being exposed to their sight. The ocean was vast and stretched far, almost like it was meeting and becoming one with the sky. There were stalls set around them, people chattering and bargaining. The wind was cold and moist, carrying the smell of fish, a scent that she couldn't exactly ever get used to.
