She laid back in the grass, stretching her sore arms. Why the hell was this thing so heavy? It was a crate she was transporting from Chenyu Vale to the main city of Liyue, and holding it for too long had made her arms numb and ache. Though she shouldn't be lousy on the job, she had told herself a few minutes laying down on the ground and staring at the sky would do no harm to the product.

The breeze was gentle, like music to the plants around her. The blades of grass danced, brushing against her like soft strokes from Mother Nature herself, as if she was allowing her to relax among the greenery. She closed her eyes, exhaling a soft breath. At times like these does she realise just how beautiful the outside world truly was. She could hear some birds chirping in the distance, the sound of running water, ruffling bushes and the slight buzzing of bees. Something small and light landed on her nose, and she opened her eyes slightly to see a butterfly. It flew away when she focused on it, flapping its small, colourful wings. She smiled and closed her eyes again, hoping that the butterfly would return and give her another kiss.

She felt a looming presence over her again. Another butterfly? (Y/N) opened her eyes and met blue ones. Startled, she jolted up, causing her head to hit his nose. She groaned, rubbing it, giving him a dirty look.

Childe.

He held his nose, making sure it wasn't bleeding, wincing slightly from the impact. "Woah, calm down."

"You scared me! What the hell are you doing here?" She snapped, feeling a bit guilty but letting her anger and annoyance override it temporarily.

He smiled, wiping it, leaving a bit of blood on his gloves. He didn't mind it. "Well, I found myself asking around if they know where you went. To my luck, I asked the person who was preparing to receive this box," he patted the crate that was next to her. "And he told me you were on your way from Chenyu Vale. It's just my instincts, and  fate which lead me to you."

The way he had kept on blabbering had made her lose interest, so she simply brushed him off. "What I meant was what are you doing back in Liyue? You seem to have a lot of free time."

He shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe I came to meet you, or maybe I came for the Lantern Rite."

She scoffed. It had to be the former. The festival was not even coming up that soon for tourists or people to visit Liyue. The preparations were yet to be discussed, the decorations yet to be hung and the actual day of the event was taking its time to arrive.

"Right," she stopped rubbing her head and looked towards the crate. She should probably cut this break short. As she reached for it, so did he. His hand met hers on top of the wood. She glanced at him and saw that he was already looking.

"I can do it," she said the exact same time he said, "let me do it."

His fingers had started caressing hers, so she retracted her hand and stood up, unsure what to feel. He huffed as he picked the crate up, adjusting his grip on it. She noticed how big his hands were.
