(Y/N) was an Adeptus. Now that there was peace, she spent her time tending to requests sent from the people of Liyue. Her life was simple now: no more wars, no more fighting, no losses.
And things could almost be considered boring, until one day she...

The sea was angry. Storms and harsh rain welcomed them into the waters of Inazuma - the wind was strong, pushing against the sails, as if telling the boat to turn around and leave. Beidou was an experienced captain, so the boat continued its treacherous journey. The waves crashed against the boat, people having to scream over the loud sound of water meeting wood to converse. Soon, the sound of overlapping water quietened, and the darker sky gave way to the cloudless blue that seemingly spread across the entirety of the nation of Eternity.
(Y/N) approached the front of the boat, leaning against the wood. Inazuma... looked beautiful. Despite what she had heard, everything she currently could see looked pretty. Like a cherry blossom tree had sprouted into a full tree. Her lips parted as the boat stopped at the port, the anchor being released into the sea. The ramp was set for them and she walked down it.
"Here we are," Beidou said, hands on hips as she walked in front of her. Further up was a strawberry-blonde man sitting on some crates, seemingly waiting for them. He perked up when he saw them, bouncing onto his feet and coming over. He looked awfully like... Childe.
She shook her thoughts away when the man spoke up. "Another guest, so early, hm, Captain?" He said lightly to Beidou.
"Duty calls when duty wants to," she responded nonchalantly, finishing it off with a shrug.
A guide? Was that who he was meant to be? Or is it because due to the strict laws set in Inazuma, people from other nations had to complete a specific procedure to be legally allowed in the nation?
(Y/N) bowed her head. "I'm (Y/N)."
"Oh, no need for formalities," he said. "I'm Thoma. Nice to meet you. Come," he gestured her closer with a wave of his hand. "I'll take you to the reception."
She bid Beidou goodbye and followed him. The reception wasn't as professional as she thought it would be. It was a lousy stand, with a brunette woman standing at the front. There was a table behind her, under the shade, papers and pens on it. She adjusted her glasses.
"Hello there. State your name, identity and purpose of visit. The both— oh, not you, Thoma," she said, a bit taken off guard.
He chucked. "Of course not."
She swallowed. "I'm Adeptus (Y/N), from Liyue." At that, both of them turned their heads and gave her wide eyes. So, Thoma didn't know that?
Now, about her purpose of visit. Logically, since Inazuma was such a strict nation, they wouldn't accept her entrance for a reason like she needed to tell someone something. She had to make something up. And with her position, she could easily do that.
"I'm in search of a Fatui Harbinger. I have business here, with him. There are some... trades and deals I have to make with him based on an old contract that the deceased Rex Lapis made before his passing." The lie slipped out of her mouth like water from a fountain.
