(Y/N) was an Adeptus. Now that there was peace, she spent her time tending to requests sent from the people of Liyue. Her life was simple now: no more wars, no more fighting, no losses.
And things could almost be considered boring, until one day she...

They hopped off the roof when the lanterns became apart of the stars. She also felt a bit concerned about his health, since he turned his head and had some sort of coughing fit.
"Are you okay?" She asked, brushing the dust off her pants after she landed on the concrete floor. The jump wasn't too high, but her legs trembled slightly from the impact.
"I'm fine," he said, a bit wearily. "Just a bad cough. Terrible timing, right?" He rubbed the back of his neck, chuckling. "During the Lantern Rite. And with you. I wouldn't want to get you sick."
"You look tired," she said, ignoring his words. "Is it a cold?"
Childe shrugged. "Who knows? It'll get better."
She observed him, gripping his arms so she could adjust him to a place with better light. Making him stand under a streetlight, her eyes ran down his body. He looked a bit stiff. He had been coughing for a bit, like something was irritating his throat. He looked tired. There were bags under those blue eyes, which were currently wide with surprise that she was looking him over so seriously. There was... huh, she had never noticed that he had a white strand of hair among the ginger mess. He even looked like he had wrinkles, if she just moved closer to analyse properly—
His face reddened. He was blushing profusely, heart pounding, yet he still managed to utter,"(Y/N)... I have a cough, so maybe it's not the best—"
"This isn't a common cold," she said. She tried to link it to anything else. Should she take him to Bubu Pharmacy? Was it even that severe to do so? Surely a checkup on his health wouldn't be such a big issue. People do it all the time, and he looked like he needed it.
"How so?" He asked.
He has to know. "You know what a cold or a fever feels like, dumb ass. And... since when did you have white hair?" She curled the strand around her index finger.
He realised that she was merely observing him and he blushed even more. Of course. She would never just kiss him like that, now would she? He let himself become a bit too hopeful, like always. Her hand was still close to his face, and he did all he could not to kiss it, so it was still a win for him.
Childe lowered her hand from his hair, intertwining his fingers with hers in the process. "Don't worry. It'll get better."
(Y/N)'s eyebrows raise. "So you know what it is."
"Yeah," he said, a bit absent-mindedly, thumb grazing her knuckles. Her hands were so beautiful. No wonder she was good at swordsmanship. Her fingers were built for it. She was hurt for it.
