(Y/N) was an Adeptus. Now that there was peace, she spent her time tending to requests sent from the people of Liyue. Her life was simple now: no more wars, no more fighting, no losses.
And things could almost be considered boring, until one day she...

Everything fell back to normal after a matter of few days. The construction of the Jade Palace started. It was near the outskirts of the city. The new Palace would be floating in the air behind Liyue, the perfect place for the Liyue Qixing to oversee the harbour. There were a lot of volunteers willing to help with the building, since they were grateful for the sacrifices and wanted to do something in return.
Her requests mainly involved clearing debris and helping the people who suffered damage from the fight (some buildings near the harbor had been destroyed due to the harsh waves), and for transporting resources to the construction site. She didn't mind the mediocrity of these requests; she was helping reconstruct a building that saved the city.
Her respect for Ningguang grew tenfold too. The Adepti were now affiliated with the Liyue Qixing, and while they still lived in their respective places, some mountains away, the peace in their relationship was something everyone could feel. Things were getting better now. It was peaceful. It was like Adeptal Energy was sprinkled onto each blade of grass and slab of concrete in the city. She felt good walking down these streets. They had beat a deity without Rex Lapis, the Archon who had sealed him away all those years ago.
Currently, (Y/N) was sitting with Zhongli, drinking tea with him. The tavern was cosy, with one of the employees presenting a story about the Geo Archon to the drinking customers. She smiled at Zhongli, finding it amusing that they were speaking so highly of him, unbeknownst to his presence.
He sipped his tea, showing his own enjoyment through the firms of a small smile. She felt content sitting here with him, like if she travelled back in time to when she first ate a meal with him. He was scary, even if he was beautiful. She was a young kid, scared, grieving over her mother, in a new environment surrounded by new people.
If (Y/N) had to define what the word 'home' meant, she would say it was a feeling. And she would say she felt that feeling with Zhongli.
"You look quite untroubled," he commented, lowering his cup of tea. His golden eyes were soft, like a father looking down at his daughter. His gaze was fatherly, and she loved it.
"I am," she agreed, her voice full of mirth. "The tea's great. The weather is nice. Requests today have been calm. I see the people I wanna see."
He chuckled. "I'm delighted to hear so." He raised his cup, blowing out the steam before taking a sip. She did the same, perking up when he asked her, "I heard that you were the one who fought the Harbinger?"
She lowered her cup. "Yes, I did. He's the one who summoned Osial! Has he approached you ever since then? I haven't had one glimpse of ginger hair, and when I do..."
