(Y/N) was an Adeptus. Now that there was peace, she spent her time tending to requests sent from the people of Liyue. Her life was simple now: no more wars, no more fighting, no losses.
And things could almost be considered boring, until one day she...

"You need a break," Xiao said.
She looked his way, a bit surprised by his firm tone. "It's morning. That's why I'm tired." She was at Wangshu Inn again, like always, waiting for the receptionist to beckon her over. He had been getting a bit concerned for her, and there wasn't a reason that she could pinpoint as to why.
"Where would I even take said break anyways?" She asked.
"Aren't you friends with the Bard?" He asked. "From Mondstadt?"
Ah, he was referring to the Anemo Archon. Venti. He was known as the Bard due to his alcoholic tendencies. Other than that, he was nice to talk to. She met him after the Archon War. While Zhongli wasn't too fond of him, she found him amusing. She got to know him better since he sometimes came over to Liyue when there was a lantern festival. "Yes, I am."
"Go visit him," he said, tone almost commanding. "I will take care of things here for you."
"But you need a break too," she pointed out. He had been doing his duties for as long as she has. "You should come with me. Wouldn't that be fun?"
"I'm not the adventurous type," he scowled slightly at her suggestion, but he seemed to like the fact she considered him. "I am going to stay here. You have always wanted to visit Mondstadt anyways, so take the opportunity and go."
"What if I'm needed here?" (Y/N) asked. The Osial incident wasn't exactly expected, so what if something similar happened again? What if Childe came back and summoned another creature? She doubted that was likely, since he seemed to have learnt a lesson. He was also being really weird during that dinner. Weirdly keen to please her.
"Mondstadt's close," he said, snapping her from her thoughts. "I will come get you if needed."
Knowing him, Xiao would, but what did he think was a situation that needed her? There were a lot of capable people in Liyue, but she would feel better knowing that she was there to protect the people if anything did happen. But he was smart. He would only get her if absolute necessary, and if she wasn't retrieved, she had nothing to worry about.
After reassuring herself, she considered it. It would be nice to meet Venti. And, like he always had said, the wine there is good. Perhaps she should take up the offer. Especially since life was about to return back to its mundane routine, as Childe was leaving Liyue, the Traveler and Paimon were in Inazuma, and abyssal activities had been relatively low.
"I'll leave tomorrow, then," she said, that being her final decision. "After informing Verr Goldet."
He smiled softly, glad she accepted his offer. "Good. I will take cover over you should there be any major requests."
"Thank you," she said, returning his smile.
The rest of the day flew by. She spent her night packing a bag, along with some things for Mimi. She wouldn't leave her cat behind.
