Gandhinagar, here we come. Yelled both of my brothers out of excitement as our jet landed on the private section of the airport.
Bastards, can't they keep quiet for a while?
Don't get me wrong I love my brothers but, they're noisy. We checked into our hotel, it was just a ten-minute drive from the airport. The Summit is held at The Rajpath Club, an exhibition centre owned by the Royal Family.
Our accommodation services are in their hotel. We checked into the three of our rooms. I called my PA who went directly to the venue from the airport itself.
I checked the pitch once, the one that we had to pitch to the association if we wanted to hold the Summit in Rajasthan.
I got freshened up and changed into my formal. Knocking onto my brother's door I called Maa Sa to inform her that we reached. Both of them were almost ready hence we descended for breakfast.
After breakfast, a chauffeur drove us to the venue. The exhibition centre was massive. The entire stretch of two kilometres from the venue was heavily protected.
The state police and even a few officials from the Border Security Force were appointed. We got out of the car and a thousand cameras all flashing in our eyes came into view. All three of us maintained a stoic front and went in after a few clicks.
The questions were so many in the chorus that they came to us as nothing but a meaningless blabber.
Our PA came and escorted us to the exhibition first. We were greeted by Mr. Akshat Sehgal, the managing director of the Summit Corporation.
Good Morning Mr. Rathore, he greeted.
I replied with a curt nod and I looked around while my brothers engaged in a conversation with him.
This time the Summit seemed larger than ever. Probably because this time it wasn't just the government but Thakur Inc. in the association as well.
Meeting with a few businessmen I took a stroll around the hall. The technological tenders in Gujarat for the year were everything but ordinary.
Everything from roadways, railways, and airports to tourist attractions or energy reserves was nothing short of perfect.
The business opportunities in Gujarat this year were marvellous. I was more than impressed by the managing committee of the Summit. My brothers joined me shortly after.
Did you see Bhai Sa, everything is well done, nothing short of perfect. Jai spoke with enthusiasm to which I just nodded.
Shaurya Thakur, the Prince came walking in all his glory.
Glad to see you here Kunwar Sa, he greeted me.Nice meeting you too Mr. Thakur. Great arrangements, by the way, I replied.
He smiled and said, well all thanks to both my sisters and especially Meera, she's worked hard for this all year long.
His expression gave me the idea that he knew about the marriage talks but wanted to keep it professional so I went with it. I gave a slight smile.
A lady walked up to us, oh his sister.
Morning Mr. Rathore, she greeted.
Good morning Ms... I didn't know her name.
Advika, she said shaking hands with me. I wanted to see Meera too but if I asked them it would seem too desperate of me.We talked for a while when my PA came and informed us that it was almost time and we'd need to take our seats.
The presentation started with great anticipation as the attendees eagerly awaited the unveiling of the energy conservation and development projects.
