Am I overreacting? Am I neglecting something in my temper?
Fuck, my mind is a gutter right now. After what happened last night, I can't focus on anything. I know Meera has a rather calm way of dealing with everything but, last night just wasn't right.
When that woman pointed a gun at her head, I lost my mind. Fear and anxiety crippled through my veins but, I tried to be strong. I was strong for her but, what did she do? She shooed me away, like a fucking fly from some milk.
She didn't listen to me for once, I was scared beyond words. I was feared for her life, hamari jaan. I couldn't sleep the entire night due to the anger coursing through me. I left home earlier than usual and, she didn't come to work.
Agastya informed me that her schedule dor the day had been cleared and she won't be coming today. Why the fuck is she doing everything that she's doing?
Bhai Sa, you need to know this... Jai barged into my cabin. Frowns were deeply etched onto his face and he narrated the incident that happened at the breakfast table at home. I was even more angered now. Why the fuck did she not speak up for herself?
But more than the anger I had for her, I had for myself. I had promised Maa Sa that I won't let her suffer the same fate as me but, it happened in the end. Something seems off, the Meera I know won't ever stay quite when someone would hurl insults at her like that.
Even then, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't know my jaan knew how to fight with swords, damn woman. My phone went off, Dada Sa it was.
Suniye Mr. Yashraj Rathore, what you did was absolutely unacceptable, he snarled at me from the phone. Wait, what did I even do?
Dadu explained everything to me, calmly. Now I know, why didn't she let me take any action. But, her approach to the incident at the breakfast table doesn't just sit right with me.
Sighing I plopped on my chair. It's evening and she didn't talk to me the whole damn day. I know that she is at the NGO, Shefali notified me about that. I tried calling her numerous times during the day but, she didn't take the call, not even once. I will talk to her once I reach home.
Meera
Sana, kaisi hain aap?
Theek, just one word. She has been looking down at the ground from the past ten minutes and it is really testing my patience now.
Aapko Inayat se milna hai? I came straight to the point. She lifted her gaze from the ground to meet mine and nodded meekly.
Sighing I continued. Hum aapko aise hi unse milne nahin de sakte, aapko hamare kuch sawalon ke jawab dene honge. She nodded as her eyes twinkled with hope and longing.
Well, Inayat and Sana do share certain similarities. Both have grey eyes and mole above their lips. The face cut is too similar to be ignored.
K-kaise sawaal? She stuttered. Aapko kaise pata laga ke Inayat hamare NGO mein hain? I bore my eyes into hers.
P-police, unhone hamein bataya. Uttar Pradesh Police ke kuch karmi pichle kai saalon se unki khoj mein jute the. I frowned upon hearing UP, how was she found in Rajasthan then?
Uttar Pradesh? I asked frowning at her.
Y-yeah, we hail from Lucknow but, didi was married off to Abbu's friend here in Rajasthan. She sibilated.
Wait, how's that possible? What was she doing at a brothel when she was already married? My head was bursting with both questions and the throbbing pain.
