Family, a word that holds different significance for every being out there. The meaning of this word holds a stark contrast for two people etched into a lifetime of commitment and love.
For Meera, family is warmth. Family for her held different meanings, a lot of them. It was her father's immense care, her mother's selfless love, her siblings' priceless bond and her grandparents' blessings.
On the other hand lies nothing but, emptiness.
For Yashraj, family was responsibility. It is not that he didn't have one, he definitely had but there family didn't have the thread that could bind them all together.
They had their share of differences and dysfunctional relationships. There is no family without differences but, problems arrive when those differences start to take a toll over their love.
He was always made to sacrifice on his happiness and stand by his responsibilities. It was his power and his capabilities to ascend to the throne that made his father notice him.
His mother though was an exceptional parent. A graceful gem of a woman who despite being at the peak of her career gave up everything for her children.
Confident, graceful and a beauty par excellence, these are one of the few things that could describe the woman she is. Stood proud as a mother to three sons, a respected and reputed queen and a determined philanthropist.
His grandfather, the guiding force that he looks up to in his life. His first companion, teacher and confidant. The man stood tall in his glory as one of the most successful Kings of their clan.
He was the one who sowed the seed of the Rathore Empire that stands proud as one of a kind in the Industry.
His brothers though, are his pillars. They are his reason and will to live amid the chaos. His friends, companions and family everything resides in his brothers.
Meera
As much as my observation goes from these few months, this family of mine needs some serious lessons. I don't understand why do they want to keep bringing up their past and its wrong doings when they can make an effort to correct it right now.
No worries, I have an idea of what to do. The execution is going to be in the worthy hands of Dadu Sa. It's his 85th birthday in three weeks. All I have three weeks to make amends for everything that I need to do.
I had proposed the idea of celebrating it, this morning during breakfast and thankfully, everyone agreed. As far as plannings concerned, the present that I wanted to give is coming from Emma and Avi Bhai and the outfits, from Chhoti's side.
I planned out the decorations and sent it to the event planner. Now, all that's left to do is the catering contract. But first, I need to complete my meetings. I really love the spot that has become my new home office.
It's the Queen's Courtyards. It's scenic, serene, picturesque and a perfect blend of artistic tapestry of the modern-medieval times. Someone's throat clearing noise breaks my reverie, Oh, its Dadi Sa.
I didn't talk to her more than necessary these days, I think she needs something.
Hum andar aa sakte hain, she questioned resulting me to nod in response.
Meera, hamein kuch baat karni thi, agar aapke pass waqt hai toh. I nodded once again.
Woh, I'm sorry for yelling at you without considering the seriousness of the situation, she added.
