"You... Do?"
I questioned the tall lanky man, his grin returning in a hauntingly contorted grimace as he hovered by my ear.
"Why of course~ why would I lie~? Just trust me, little mouse. " he cooed in a low, almost venomous tone and I could feel his warm breath impeding on my face.
I considered my options and ended up nodding, "... Fine. I'll help you. For now, until you step out of line. Now, just... I need to see Gon." I muttered as he pulled back out of my face and let me relax even the slightest bit. With a small sigh my shoulders untensed but a new tingling sensation flooded my body as I felt a prick at the base of my neck- then nothing all at once.
Gon's POV:
I walked farther and farther from the shop until it was just a distant prick in the cityscape behind me.
I need to find her.
I don't care what happens or if I have to lose another god damn hand, I'm done. All of this crazy stuff just keeps me away from my goal, I can't just keep wasting precious time away people's lives are at stake. I'm sorry that Lief probably will get in trouble but I could care less right now.
My fists clenched white into my palms, leaving little indents that if I held my fist a slightly tighter would surely bleed. My breath was hitched and creating a thick humid smog gathering up in the top of my throat, creating a lump that wouldn't leave.
My eyes scanned the surroundings around me like a sonar, there must be some trace of her. There has to be.
And then there was something, a faint hint of her. I know that smell. My feet kicked off the ground and I ran by buildings, following the very distant lead. Then my feet stopped dead in the newly done gravel sidewalk- oh that reaks! Is that... A alley dumpster?
I looked around, anywhere but there and yet the smell was mixed in with the nauseating stench of rotten egg and maggots feasting on spoiled ham. I had to fight everything in me not to throw up, and instead slowly but steadily decend into the darkness of the alley in hopes of finally getting her.
As I got closer and closer my eyes watered from the stench, WHO THE HELL LET'S IT GET THIS BAD IN A CITY??? Regardless of this human rights violation, I scavenged the top of the pile in the hot metal bin. Curse sun baked garbage, way worse of a smell than the hospital and that's saying something. I then ruffled through and found... A card?
I clean it off, and it's... MY DEBIT CARD? DID SHE SERIOUSLY- you know what I can get a new one this belongs to the streets, just like Violet. With a discontent sigh I ruffle more and find my credit card. Wait... So if she dumped my stuff here then...
At the middle of the pile, with a brown slimy banana slicked to the back of it, a familiar shape was dug out by me. I rip the potassium peel off and wipe the grime off the front. It's glass... A screen. I clean the device up the most I can, it's a phone. I turn on the screen and.. It's her and I. Violet and me.
I had a surge of regret but as soon as I felt it I pushed it away, no no she is a monster. She doesn't deserve my regret. I open the phone and there was a home screen of.. Some other dude and her. And.. A kid. A ring resided on her finger here. So... Basically, she was married with a child and still put me through that prison of a relationship? Made me feel like she cared? I saw her in a different light now. She never cared, and she just used me. I can't believe I ever liked her. I stared for a minute before snooping around. My thumbs moved on their own, and I stumbled across an opened tab, her notes app.
I opened it up and it just had down an address. Is this... Where she is? Why the hell would she be so stupid to leave where she is going on her phone?? You know what, I don't care. This is my only lead. I threw the phone back in the rotting trash and took out my own phone. It's almost dead but I need the GPS. I pull up the navigation app on there and type in the address: 5587 west Nowhere st. So that's where she's hiding.. It's 5 miles away.
I don't have no Godspeed but I sure have my nen back. I was never a slow runner...
Killua's POV:
I was awoken to the sound of You give love a bad name at the loudest volume I'm sure a device could be set to. My neck pricked awake and the small hairs tingled, my blurred sight alligning so I'd be able to see I was in a sort of a Warehouse in a chair as... Jasper was painting his nails and listening to Bon Jovi.
What the actual fuck.
As my speech slurred to life I spoke, ".... Where are we now..?"
A excited hum pressed out of his thin curly lips, "Oh how fun fun fun! You're awake!" Jasper enthused and looked over, "Should I do my right hand Maroon or Salmon?"
I was in shock, "... What..? Neither! They're both hideous!" I spat out, offended he just ignored my question. He shrugged, "Suit yourself. I'll choose Burnt Sienna then!" He hummed joyously to himself and I just scoffed in disbelief. I looked over at my arm. That's right.. The flower... Wait where is it? It's gone? Wasn't it just-?
"Oh that? Yeah don't worry about it. I helped remove it for you, that sure was a nasty nen curse there wasn't it?" He spoke familiarly as if I just got a bug bite. I blink and touch the scar shaped like a rose bud, "There's still a mark.." I whispered and he chortled, "haha oh yeah there is! Oh~ Violet is such a jokester! What a shame though, waste of her ability" he crooned as he blew on his nails to dry them nonchalant.
Wait
Did he just say Violet? Jasper knows her???
(Hahaha finally resuming the story! Hopefully people still read it!)
