Chris: Nope, No, no way- when you get back to Boston we're burning that KC jacket :P x

Are you seriously stalking me on TV right now? x  I take out my phone and see his message, shaking my head and texting him back quickly.

Chris: Gotta see my girl whatever chance I get - you do realise the Patriots are better? x

Can't I support both? Lol x

Chris: Maybe :P Either way you're gonna be wearing the patriots when you're here, anything else is a crime x

That include normal clothes, Evans? :P

He set himself up for that one.

Chris: You won't be wearing them half the time anyway ;) x

Shame, I remember you saying how you liked my ass in those leggings I wore last time x

I smile to myself and then have to remember that every so often we're being shown on the big screen and also on TV. We're at the Chiefs game and so far I have absolutely zero idea what's happening - although I think that they're winning so that's a good sign. It would seem that my boyfriend would think otherwise.

I put my phone away and make my way back from the back of the suite to where Taylor, Ryan, Blake and a few others are standing, watching the game intensely. I lean into Taylor and shield my face while I talk to her, knowing the lip readers of Tik Tok are going to be out in force if these videos are shown. "I have no idea what's happening, they winning?"

"They sure are, it's insane". She grins, also shielding her mouth. It was the trick she's taught me since everything she does is scrutinised by media and the haters. She's found friends already in a few of the wives and girlfriends of the team. We were out for dinner with them last night, but I can't make tonight's one. I'm heading back to Boston straight after the game.

"Chris apparently is burning my jacket once I get there, Patriots fan". I grin as she looks at me and then laughs.

"No way, you'd better hide it if you're coming to more of these. Gonna need all the emotional support I can get!".

"Oh don't worry, I will".

She puts her arm around me and we do some kind of side sway hug. "You looking forward to seeing him again?".

I nod. "I really miss him. No idea what I'm gonna be like when we head back out on tour".

"Will he come see you at any of the dates?"

I shrug. "Maybe, it depends - I'd like to hope that he would for one or something, considering none of my family will be until we go to the UK next year".

I haven't really seen my family properly for a couple of years other than through the facetimes we have. Flights are always expensive and with some of my projects, I wouldn't have been able to make it back in time. I don't expect them to fly to see me either. Plus my siblings all have kids of various ages, so that's a no go. I check in every so often, but it's hard - especially scheduling while I'm touring. I spoke to them a few days ago though, but I haven't breathed a word to them about Chris. I just want to have something to myself for a while, plus I'm not exactly sure what their reaction would be.

We watch the rest of the game, drink, and celebrate the victory - making a quick exit soon after. Right now all eyes are on Taylor and Travis now that their relationship has gone public within the last couple of weeks. "I'll shoot you a text, have fun in Boston". She winks as we pull away from the hug we share when saying goodbye.

"You have fun in Kansas City". I smirk, knowing that right now she's having the time of her life. She deserves it.

I head back home, change and grab my things before then catching my flight - the excitement of seeing Chris again growing. It's early morning when I land and he's said he'll wait up for me. I feel a sense of relief and comfort now that I'm here.

Somehow it feels like coming home.

Five minutes away, I love you x

Chris: Already looking out for you Wilde one  - love you more x

I rest back against the seat of the Uber and feel giddy. He just has the ability to make that way, feet kicking and everything.

I all but throw myself from the car once it's stopped and grab my case, seeing the door open and Chris now standing there.

Fuck it.

I let go of my case and just run to him, clamping my arms around him before I sink into his kiss. I don't even care if the Uber guy sees. The only man I'm stuck in my little bubble with is all that matters.

"Hey you". Chris finally says softly as we pull away for a moment.

"Hi". I beam up at him. "You miss me?"

"Course I did, hence the TV stalking - now what say we get you inside so I can say hello properly".

It's not a question.

Taking my stuff, we retreat behind closed doors, away from the rest of the world - and we don't emerge until the next afternoon.
