Chapter 33 - Mess up

I'm sorry for doing this to you 😃 (TW: Blood, Violence, etc) 

   Finally. The last child left. Sundrop was still waving to the last child as I started walking to the daycare exit. "Sunshine, where are you going?" I heard from behind me.

I turned to Sundrop and chuckled lightly, "I'm using one of those 4 days to get my stuff from home to bring here." I turned back towards the exit. Sundrop nodded, "Oh well, Moon wants to talk to you..."

I decided to ignore that last part. I didn't have time to talk with Moon right now. "Bye Sunny!" I waved to him as I walked out.

Eventually I made it home and I started packing. I still can't believe that I accidentally moved into a Pizza Plex. Clothes, check. Toothbrush, toothpaste, etc, check. Chargers and devices, check. I think I have everything I need plus a bit more.

During the drive back, I kept looking around at the trees and sky. It was nighttime but it was so beautiful. When would be the next time I'd go outside? Next thing I knew, I arrived at the Pizza Plex.

I took an employee back way to get inside so I wouldn't have to go through the crowds of people. When I opened the daycare doors, the room was dark again. My bags were heavy and there was no way I'd be able to carry them AND not trip on something in the dark.

I turned on my flashlight and walked to the light switch. "Don't." I turned around quickly, startled. Moon was behind me. "Moony! You scared me!" He obviously didn't like me calling him 'Moony'.

"Why did you leave?" He spoke in a cold tone. "I had to get some stuff from home. It's not like it took that lo—" He grabbed my wrist. "You ignored Sun and left. You ignored ME."

My first instinct was to try to pull my hand away but his grip was too strong. He chuckled, "That won't work, Starlight." The way he said it sent shivers down my spine. "Moon... You're better than this..."

He ignored me. "You don't leave. You never leave. Never again." All I could do was nod my head, hoping that he would drop it. His red eyes now had blotches of purple."If you ever leave without TELLING ME AGAIN—"

He cut himself off the moment he realized that he pierced skin. He messed up and he knew it. He let go of my arm. "S-Starlight... I..."

I watched as blood started to soak the sleeve of my shirt. I didn't yell or cry even. I was a bit stunned but got over it. "Let me know when you're ready to talk, Moondrop."

I walked towards my room and out of the corner of my eye I could see him still standing there with his back towards me. I opened the door and went into my room. "Fuck that hurt..."
