Sorry for the wait everyone but after making 50 chapters, I needed a small break of not even thinking about this because I have bunches of projects I'm working on. But I'm back and I'll try to post these as often as I can!
"Hey there!" She said as she walked towards Moon. She held a hand out to him, "I'm Alex!"
Moon looked them up and down. He didn't shake her hand. I nudged him but he still didn't budge. I nudged him another 2 times and he finally shook it as he rolled his eyes.
Alex chuckled nervously. "Is he... usually like this?" I just nodded, hoping they wouldn't take it any farther.
"That's... weird.... They're both programmed to be gentle and with manners and all. I read a few of the animatronics files and Moon's said he had a virus—"
Moon flinched from the word but Alex didn't notice.
"—that gave him violent and rude tendencies. Supposedly a kid made a device and illegally installed it into him but it wiped the virus. They didn't try taking it off in case the virus came back or got worse. Can I take a quick look at the device—"
"No!" Both Moon and I said at once. I just sighed, knowing I owe some explanation. Even if parts were a lie. "I was the kid who installed the device. I've looked at it and it's fine. His wires and everything are more sensitive than other animatronics so to try and check that right now wouldn't end well."
A huge smile grew on Alex's face, "Wait a minute- You were the one who programmed that device?! I was in awe that a kid made something like that, just to find out it was you?!"
I chuckled nervously at what was probably supposed to be a compliment. "Yeah well, I was 10 and my dad helped me. He passed away a few years ago though and it was so long ago that I wouldn't be able to remake it if I tried."
Alex still looked impressed either way. "That's still amazing! Maybe I could take a look at the device? I've really been wanting to see what it looks like and all!"
"How about later when it's their checkups?" "Well I just want to take a small look!" She isn't going to let it go, is she?
"Sure but be careful! His wires are really sensitive! Also the device is really small and hard to see!"
Alex smiled and walked behind Moon. Moondrop looked to me and muttered, "Do I have to let this human have access to my wires? I'd rather it just be you."
I sighed. As much as I didn't want them to look in and possibly find out that the device was gone, I didn't have any other choice. I nodded to Moon and he rolled his eyes before lowered to the ground.
Alex popped the back panel open. "Hm... The device really is small! I don't see it anywhere."
I chuckled nervously, "Just don't touch anything and you should be fine!"
After a minute, Alex closed the panel turned towards me. "All done! I'll do a serious check up soon but for now, I'm content."
Thank goodness this isn't being dragged farther.
"I'll go ahead and get out of your hair and get to my job! Nice meeting you." Alex held her hand out and I shook it.
"Nice meeting you too Alex."
