50 - Who's this?

The person had a badge labeled 'Parts and Services'. They had long fluffy hair so bright it could be considered obnoxious. Their was from pink roots to purple to blue ends.

Their lanyard was covered in pins, one saying She/Her and another saying They/them. She had freckles all over and Hazel eyes.

Their name tag said 'Alex'.

She waved. "Hey!! This is the daycare right?"

You looked over to them before turned back to Sun. You and Sunny both walked over to the worker. Sun was the first one to greet them.

"Hello there friend! Yes! This is the daycare, I see you have one of our Pizza Plex worker badges but I don't see you in my system... Could you please explain? I don't think you are a criminal or anything of that sort but it's protocol, you get it!"

They nodded to Sunny's request, "Yeah, of course! My name is Alex and I was only just registered in the system so it will be a minute before you recognize my info and all! I'm new in Parts and Services and I'll mostly be taking care of the Animatronics, like you and Moondrop!"

While Sun and Alex chatted, you couldn't stop thinking. 'What if Moon has to get repairs and it goes wrong..."

"Y/N!'"

"Huh?" You blinked to realize that Sun was calling your name.

"Y/N, this is Alex!"

Alex reached their hand out to you and you shook it, "Sorry about that, I zoned out. My name is Y/N and I work here in the daycare with Sun and Moon! Is Alex short for anything?"

They shook their head, "Nah... Alex is technically a nickname but I like it better than my actual name and they let me use it here so that's cool, right?" She laughed.

"So, when do you think they'll need repairs...?"

Alex smiled, "Probably in the next few days or so! I haven't got a chance to really look at my schedule since I only just started!"

"I know you said you're new and all but when did you start?"

"Technically today's my first day but my manager was showing me how to close up last night."

Was that why I couldn't get in? It still didn't make sense why my keycard wasn't working though.

"I'll be popping in every once in a while! But of course since this is your department here with Sun and Moon, I'll let you know when repairs will be starting up. When was their last repair?"

You knew that you should tell Alex about how you've been helping Moon and going through his system often but... Sunny... he was standing right there... "Uhh... it's been a while! By the way, could I get your number?"

The two of you exchanged numbers. Maybe later you could text Alex the truth. Yeah, that'd work.

   Alex had talked to Sun about repairs and maintenance things before turning to you. "Hey, Y/N, do you mind turning off the lights so I can speak to Moondrop?"

   "Uhh..." Moon definitely wasn't the best with strangers. Especially adults. Especially adults not in his system. "Yeah, sure, but do you mind if I talk to Moon for a minute before you meet him?"

   Alex nodded and let you know that she'd be right outside the door until you were ready. You had turned off the lights and smiled as Moon stood in front of you.

   "Starlight. It's too early for naptime, what do you want."

   "I need you to meet someone."

   A low growl came from Moon. He obviously didn't want to meet this 'someone'. "A child?"

   You chuckled nervously before responding, "No... but they are a worker. But they aren't in the system yet. They work in parts and services."

   Moon looked even more angry. "No."

   "Yes."

   "No.

   "Yes."

   "No."

   "Moon!"

    "Fine!"

   It was obvious that he hated that he lost. It wasn't fully clear to you why he gave in so quickly, though. He usually took much longer to convince.

   "This will also help you have a real conversation with an adult who isn't me! It's like practice!"

   Moon rolled his eyes and groaned, "Exactly. An adult who isn't you. Why would talking to an adult other than you ever be on my bucket list"

   "Moondrop, you're doing this. They're right outside the door, I'm going to let them in now." You headed to the door and opened it and Alex walked in.

   "Hey there!" She said as she walked towards Moon. She held a hand out to him, "I'm Alex!"

Hey guys! I just wanted to thank everyone who's made it this far! I can't believe it's already chapter 50! I know it's been a slow and painful process waiting for these chapters but I have a lot going on right now but I'll continue to try to get these chapters out as quickly as I can!
